Show It. Edward Zunich Serving Abroad Destroyer USS Edson Navy Lieutenant (junior grade) R. Edward Zunich, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Hershel Zunich of American Fork, is serving aboard the destroyer USS Edsun witli the U. S. Sev.-nt,; Fleet, off the coast of Vietnam. During his tour of duty his ship participated in various naval operations op-erations such as "Operation Sea Dragon" and conducted gunfire support for U. S. Marines during dur-ing "Operations Beau Charger," "Deacon Hill" and "Hickory." The Edson has also destroyed THE AMERICAN FORK CITIZEN, Thursday, July 13. 1967 several enemy shore batteries with very little damage being inflicted in-flicted on the destroyer by enemy gun crews. For over three tours of duty in Vietnam, the crew of the Edson has been awarded the Navy Unit Commendation. Very limited hunting of the pronghorn antelope is permitted in Oregon in order to keep them from becoming extinct.
