Police I SELECTED INCIDENTS American Fork ILLEGAL CONSUMPTION - A 19-year-old woman was arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. A 20-year-old man was arrested for failure to obey an officer, intoxication, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, interfering interfer-ing with an arrest and assault on a police officer. Officers responded to a report of an assault and found the man and woman had been arguing about their relationship. The woman had consumed alcohol and was underage. When officers arrived, the man left on foot and was located a few minutes later. The man was taken into custody for intoxication and failure to obey a police officer. The man started to yell at officers and resist re-sist arrest. He was taken into custody and during transportation to the Utah County Jail, he spit on the officer and in his patrol vehicle. He continued to fight with the officer and kicked the interior of the vehicle, causing damage to equipment. DISORDERLY CONDUCT - A 23-year-old man was cited for disorderly conduct. Officers responded re-sponded to a report that the man was at a local business screaming, scream-ing, yelling and causing a disturbance. distur-bance. The man was upset that his wife had not received her final paycheck. He was asked to leave but continued to cause a disturbance distur-bance to the customers until the police were contacted. INTOXICATION - A 23 -year-old man was arrested for intoxication intoxi-cation after officers responded to a report that the man was screaming, yelling and throwing things. Officers found that the man was intoxicated and was a harm to himself and others. DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE INFLU-ENCE A 21 -year-old woman was arrested for DUI, psycho-toxic psycho-toxic chemical abuse and a denied drivers license. Officers responded to a report of a single vehicle accident. The vehicle had run off the roadway into a fence. During the investigation officers found the woman was under the influence of a toxic chemical and they located a bag containing freshly sprayed spray paint. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ASSAULT AS-SAULT A 31-year-old woman was arrested for domestic violence vio-lence assault in the presence of a child, domestic violence criminal mischief and intoxication. Officers Of-ficers responded to a report of a family fight. During the investigation investiga-tion they found that the woman was intoxicated. She had assaulted as-saulted her boyfriend and then began to break several pictures in the residence. DUI A 42-year-old man was arrested for DUI after officers responded to calls from citizens that the man was driving all over the roadway and almost hit several sev-eral cement curbs and a parked car. Officers located the man and found him to be DUI. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM - A 49-year-old man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers were investigating an assault incident when they observed drug paraphernalia. para-phernalia. ARREST - A 24-year-old man was arrested for animal licensing violation, false information to a police officer and four outstanding outstand-ing arrest warrants. Officers were advised that the man had not licensed his dog. They went to follow up on the incident and the man gave officers a false name. Officers learned of his real name and that he had four outstanding arrest warrants. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CRIMINAL CRIMI-NAL MISCHIEF - A 41-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence criminal mischief. Officers Of-ficers responded to a report of a family fight. The man had been arguing with his ex-wife. He became be-came upset and hit his fist into her vehicle, denting it. The damage dam-age to the vehicle was estimated at approximately $200. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE - A 28-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct domestic violence and intoxication. Officers Of-ficers responded to a report of a family fight. The man was intoxicated in-toxicated and began to yell at his mother. To avoid confrontation, the mother left and walked to a friend's house. The man followed his mother and attempted to get her friends to fight him. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE - A 16-year-old boy was arrested for disorderly conduct domestic violence after officers responded to a family fight. The boy and his mother had gotten into an argument. argu-ment. During the argument, the boy became upset and picked up his guitar holding it near her vehicle, threatening to hit her window. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE - A 20-year-old man was cited for disorderly conduct after officers responded to a report that the man was outside screaming and yelling and disturbing the neighbors. neigh-bors. RETAIL THEFT - A 17-year-old girl, a 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl were arrested for retail theft after they attempted to take approximately $200 in miscellaneous clothing from a local lo-cal business. A man was cited for assaulting his brother-in-law. Cedar Hills RECKLESS BURNING - A 15-year-old boy was cited for reckless burning after officers responded to a report of a field fire. The boy had been lighting f ireworks and threw one of them into the field, starting the fire. MISCELLANEOUS - Officers responded to several traffic accidents, residential alarms, animal problems, fires and illegal fireworks. Eagle Mountain ATTEMPTED MURDERAGGRAVATED MURDERAG-GRAVATED ASSAULT - Deputies Dep-uties responded to a domestic violence vi-olence call in Eagle Mountain on July 2. A man had been in a hot tub with his wife and his friend when he went into the house for a short time and returned with a golf club. The man became upset and allegedly assaulted his wife and friend with the golf club, causing extensive trauma to both individuals. indi-viduals. The man was arrested for attempted murder with a weapon, aggravated assault domestic violence in the presence pres-ence of a child, and aggravated assault domestic violence with a weapon. He was booked into the Utah County Jail. Lehi BURGLARY - A lawn mower, trimmer and a drill were reported stolen from a garage. DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE INFLU-ENCE A driver was booked into the Utah County Jail on DUI and unsafe lane change charges. BURGLARY- Construction items were stolen from a building under construction. WARRANT SERVICE - Two juvenile boys were taken to Slate Canyon Detention on pick-up orders. They were both cited with possession of marijuana and possession pos-session of paraphernalia. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE - After police followed up on a report of a verbal fight, a man was cited with possession of paraphernalia and a protective order violation. AUTO THEFT - A green 2001 Chevrolet pickup truck was stolen sometime Sunday night from the parking lot at 40 N. 1200 West (business location). The truck had been left unlocked and the keys left inside. Pleasant Grove-Lindon THEFT Officers responded to a report of an electrical motor from an industrial size compressor compres-sor from a Lindon business. The compressor was located outside of the main warehouse because of its large size. The motor is valued val-ued at $1,086. ASSAULT There was a report of two Hispanic men in a sedan striking a victim in the head with a belt as well as punching and kicking his head. The victim had visible injuries to his head. He was receiving medical treatment at the Orem community Hospital at the time police contacted him. BURGLARY - Officers responded re-sponded to an alarm, finding forced entry to two businesses. Fifty dollars cash was taken from one. No other items reported missing. Damage was caused to two doors and a wall. Value of damage was estimated at over $700. BURGLARY - Officers took a burglary report regarding an unknown suspect entering a business busi-ness through a broken window. The suspect also forced his way into a locked room in the business, busi-ness, damaging the door. Several items were reported missing. DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE INFLU-ENCE A traffic accident with injury resulted in one arrest for DUI. About $5,000 in damage was done to an LDS church property prop-erty fence. DUI One woman was arrested for DUI following a traffic accident ac-cident involving a vehicle and a parked car. Prescribed Lycipia, prescribed Clonazepam, and prescribed pre-scribed Cymbalta were taken into evidence. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - An individual'reported he witnessed another individual spray painting paint-ing initials on the west side of his building. When he attempted to make contact with the suspect. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - Ten incidents in-cidents of criminal mischief were reported, including six involving someone breaking vehicle or house windows with what appears ap-pears to be a BB gun. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM A suspicious detail involving two men resulted in the arrest of one man for possession posses-sion of a controlled substance and a valid warrant. The man was taken to the Utah County Jail and booked in on the warrant and drug charge. Methamphetamine crystal and marijuana leaf were booked into evidence. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM - A traffic stop resulted re-sulted in the driver being arrested for possession of marijuana, possession pos-session of paraphernalia, reckless driving, and a warrant. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM - A vehicle was stopped for tail light violation. Consent to search the vehicle was obtained. Marijuana and paraphernalia were found. The driver admitted admit-ted to possession. Driver was arrested and later released on a citation. Saratoga Springs ROLLOVER ACCIDENTDUI Officers responded to an accident ac-cident report in which the victims could not give their location on June 21. Officers found the accident acci-dent scene in the gravel pit in the northwest area of the city after 35 minutes of searching. The driver had been deliberately spinning "doughnuts" and had rolled the vehicle. Five of the six occupants were thrown from the vehicle. Only one person was wearing a seatbelt, and was not thrown out. One victim had been pinned under the vehicle and was flown by Air Med helicopter to University Univer-sity of Utah Hospital in critical condition. Three others were transported by ambulance to American Fork Hospital. The driver was charged with DUI, possession of firearms by a restricted person, possession posses-sion of drugs, and trespassing. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - Police Po-lice are investigating damage to heavy equipment at a construction construc-tion site reported on June 20. The windows of a trackhoe were shot out.
