Cricket is expanding ex-panding its extensive network of retail locations and has recently opened a location in Provo. Other retailers include Advantage Wireless, Office Depot, Costco, Staples and CompUSA. The all-you-can-talk service offers customers cus-tomers all their local calls and incoming calls from anywhere for one flat rate, $34.95 a month. There are no limits to the minutes min-utes of airtime a customer can use. "Convenience is the number one priority with us," said Rick Barlow, general manager of Utah's Cricket Communications. "We selected Provo as 'a location because of its college appeal and our ability to charge no long distance dis-tance across the Wasatch Front." Cricket's Around-Town Phones will ultimately work in a large local coverage area, Provo being one of the strongest signal areas. Priced competitively with traditional landline phone service, ser-vice, Cricket also offers voicemail, caller ID and call waiting. wait-ing. Customers pay $3.95 per month for the first of these features, fea-tures, and $2 per month for each additional feature. Cricket's all-digital all-digital handsets, manufactured by Nokia and Kyocera, retail for as low as $99.95, including the first month of service. Cricket customers don't have to sign a contract. Provo IRS office offers extended hours for service The IRS has announced that the Provo IRS office will be open longer during the filing season to offer assistance to those who need help filing their 2000 Individual Income Tax Returns. Taxpayers can walk into the IRS office to get tax forms, make payments or payment pay-ment arrangements, make account ac-count inquiries and ask general tax questions. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Below are the additional addi-tional dates and times the Provo IRS office will be open during the filing season.
