Show March, 2001 ProvoOrem Chamber of Commerce Monthly Newsletter Paged Durmgo Grill Offers Unique Dining S On March 1 2, a group of chamber cham-ber members and Orem city representatives rep-resentatives traveled to a quaint plaza south of the border, or at least it felt that way at the grand opening for Durango Grill The new restaurant on 800 North in Orern by Harmon's serves Tex Mex food in a unique style that combines the atmosphere and cuisine of fine dining with the speed and ease of fast food. A central feature of the restaurant restau-rant is the grill where customers can watch as meat and seafood is flame broiled. Most plate prices range from $2.95 to $6.95, with seafood up to $8.95 Durango Grill customers find the restaurant pleasing to both the palate and the eye. Kenneth Peterson, a Durango Grill owner, developed the recipes used at Durango Grill. Peterson's experience expe-rience includes La Caille, Chi-Chi's, Chi-Chi's, Brick Oven and Lone Star Steakhouse. "We've been amazed at the positive feedback we receive," said Peterson. "Customers keep saying how good the food is, and how our menu is so much more expanded than the competition. They're always asking if we're part of an established franchise." Although the Orem Durango Grill is the first of its kind, owners own-ers and investors hope will become be-come a chain of restaurants with locations throughout the United States.
