Mountain View scored 142 points to take the top spot in the finals. Skyline's 111 points were good enough to give, the Eagles' second place. American Fork, Weber, and Orem rounded out the top five places in the girls competition. In the boys' meet, Northridge won with a 97 point finish. The Tiger boys finished fourth with 59.8 points, while Mountain View took ninth. Shauna Rohbock earned individual in-dividual state titles in both the javelin and the long jump. Orem emerged with the win, due in part to a selfless offense of-fense and Justin Henderson's three goal performance. "I thought we played pretty well," Coach Garlan Fitzgarrald said. "Except for a couple of mistakes, mis-takes, we played a solid game." The mistakes came from a missed penalty kick and some goal opportunities given to the Falcons. Still, once the Tigers "settled down," the win was in Orem's hands, Fitzgarrald said. Justin Henderson opened up the game with a goal, then repeated his effort later in the game with a second. The game ended knotted at 2-2.
