The couple have chosen Friday, Fri-day, May 16 as their wedding day. The ceremony will be performed per-formed in the Los Angeles Temple. The bride's parents will host a reception that same evening in Huntington Beach, Cal. The following fol-lowing Friday, May 23, an open house will be held at the Vineyard Vine-yard Chapel with all friends and relatives of the newly married couple invited. The bride will be attired in a dress of polyester crepe with an overdress of miramist and lace. She will carry a dried arrangement arrange-ment of lavender and blue flowers. flow-ers. The lavender color theme will be continued in a swag over a backdrop of austrian drapes. Maid of Honor will be Krist-ie Krist-ie Nielsen and Dan Preece will act as Best Man. Miss Denos graduated from Marina High School in California where she was a four year Seminary Sem-inary graduate. She was active in music circles in high school. She graduated from BYU in April Ap-ril of this year. The bridegroom attended high school in Orem where he was a band member. He is a Seminary graduate of four years, and served a mission for the LDS Church to the Washington D.C. area. J. C. Moms Feted The mothers of the Orem Jaycee Wives will be honored by club members at a dinner at the Royal Inn Saturday, May 9. Pat Bartlett will provide the program. Carnations will be distributed dis-tributed to members and their mothers, and door prizes will be awarded. Donna Cook is chairman of the dinner committee. The first film is call Nutrition Nutri-tion in Pregnancy. The. second film is called Childbirth for the joy of it which shows five natural births using the Bradley Method of Husband Coached Childbirth. Windsor School Holds Program Dedication services were held May 2, 8 p.m. at Windsor School in Orem for the new addition recently re-cently completed there. Members of the school board joined a capacity crowd of enthusiastic enthu-siastic parents, students and interested in-terested citizens in the program: Russell Hansen, former principal princi-pal of Windsor, gave the dedicatory dedi-catory prayer. Theme for the program was "We'll do it our way." Brent Milne directed the school chorus in several numbers. The individual indi-vidual classroom were decorated with the students displays. Peterson Pet-erson of West Point, Utah, will become the bride of Steven William Wil-liam Rock, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry W. Rock of Orem. They will be married May 9 at 10:30 a.m. in the Manti Temple. The groom's father will host a wedding breakfast following the marriage. That same evening, a reception honoring the couple will be held from 8 to 10 p.m. in the West Point LDS Meetinghouse. An op en house will be held the following fol-lowing evening on May 10th, in the Orem West Stake Center, 545 N 500 W from 8 to 10 p.m. All Vera Nielsen Takes Part In Workshop The Utah Education Association Associa-tion sponsored a Human Aware ness Workshop on May 2 and 3 at the University of Utah. Arrangements were under the direction of the Women's Task Force. "Vera NielsenofOremwas a group discussion leader at the two day meet. Her topic was How Books and Films Reinforce Rein-force Female' and Male Roles. Mrs. Nielsen is a media coordinator co-ordinator at the Rock Canyon School. She just completed a term as chairman of the School Section Sec-tion of the Utah Library Association Associa-tion and served on the Women's Education Committee oftheUEA. She is active in the American Association of theUniversityWo-men. theUniversityWo-men. She is chairman of the state AAUW project and published a booklet this year on "Utah Women Wo-men and the Law." The keynote address on Friday was given by Martha Mathews, Coordinator 'of the" Recourse Center on Sex Roles in Educa-tioninWashington, Educa-tioninWashington, D.C. Ms. Mathews stated that roles for men and women are changing and both groups are achieving recognition rec-ognition in entering a variety of professionsonce considered sterotyped for one or the other. Lincoln PTSA Tells News Members of Lincoln Junior high PTSA voted to approve a revision of the by-laws providing the term of president be for one year, and creating the office of president-elect. . Other, officers will continue to hold their positions for two year. Thus, this spring the only office to be chosen was president-elect. Casting ballots last week, PTSA members selected Shauna (Mrs. Gary) Smith as president-elect. Mrs. S mith joins the Lincoln PTSA board as it prepares pre-pares to move to the new Lake-ridge Lake-ridge Junior High in the falL Continuing as president is De-lores De-lores (Mrs. J. Bonner) Ritchie. Rit-chie. Special Recognition was accorded ac-corded the Lincoln PTSA last week at the State PTA convention held in Provo. Under the leadership lea-dership of Hildred (Mrs. Lewis), membership chairwoman, the Lincoln group added more than 110 new members to its roll. It was one of two associations to meet that goal in this region. Mrs. Anderson developed an innovative plan with students as part of the membership campaign. cam-paign. The play, "Five On a Honeymoon," Honey-moon," sponsored by the PTSA under the direction of Jody Ren-strom, Ren-strom, played to a packed house each night. The funds will be used to purchase a gift for the new Lakeridge Junior High. As the Funds' Festival nears an end, the PTSA expresses its thanks to the community for support of the project. Moms To Lunch at Skyroom Joining other Orem groups in honoring their mothers this month is the Cordial Club. They will hold this special event May 10 at the Sky Room in the Wilkinson Wil-kinson Center on the BYU Campus. Cam-pus. Festivities will begin at noon when light snacks are served. Luncheon will be served at 12:30. Marilyn Anderson is chairman of the program. The Cordial Club is interested in building up their membership and will enjoy hearing from Orem women who would like to join. The club emphasizes cultural arts.
