Miss Ellsworth attended Rick's College in Rexburg, Idaho, and is now attending the Brigham Young University. Mr. and Mrs. Brent W. Willis of Great Falls, Montana announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their foster daughter Sann Ellsworth to Todd Huish, son of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Huish, of 824 East 500 South Street. A December 27 wedding is planned in the Provo LDS Temple, with an open house being held Mr. Huish is a pre-medicine . student at the Brigham Young LinCOlEl DO QCOn University, fle has fulfilled a biMtviu w two year mission in Ohio, and Miss Woodward's first period West Virginia, speech class put on an assembly for the studentbody of Lincoln last Friday, November 30. They also performed that night at 8:00 for parents and friends. The play was called "Abner Crane from Hayseed Lane. It was written like an old fashioned fashion-ed mellerdrama. Darrin Sly-vester Sly-vester was Abner Crane. Debbie Cooper was the heroin and Paul Stout played the villian. The other main actors were Rick Black, Janeth Baldwin, Karen Little, and Lori Nicholls. In the students' opinion it was one of the best speech assemblies assem-blies they have seen. MissWood-ward MissWood-ward and her cast deserve a lot of credit for their work on the play. Opening the four-year regular enlistment program to women Is the second step In a new program pro-gram to give women in the Coast Guard an equal footing with men. The first step in this program was admitting women to theCoast Guard Officer Candidate School last February. To the limits of practicality women who enlist will receive the same ten-week training course as men at the Coast Guard Training Center, Cape May, N.J. Upon completion of basic training women will have the same opportunities oppor-tunities for advanced training, promotions, pay, and advancement advance-ment as their male counterparts. VOWS December 7th It is hoped the enlistment of women will help curb the Coast Guard's increasing manpower shortage. Senator Dean To Attend Seminar WASHINGTON, D.C. Senator Ernest H. Dean of AmericanFork will attend a two-day seminar for state legislative leaders Dec. 5-6 at the Statler-Hilton Hotel here. Some 100 legislative leaders from across the country will discuss issues including major domestic issues of concern to States, the new federalism and its implication for state legislatures, legis-latures, the evolving role of Congress and state legislatures, and improving the regulation pro-c pro-c ss. Speakers will include U.S. Senate Minority Leader Hugh Scott (Pa.), U.S. Senator Henry Jackson (Wash.), Representative Richard Boiling (Mo.), James Falk, associate director of the Domestic Council, Frak Zarb, assistant director. Office of Management and Budget, and Elmer El-mer Staats, Comptroller General of the United States. The seminar is sponsored by the National Legislative Conference Confer-ence and the NationalConference of State Legislative Leaders. Cindy Lee Hall will become the bride of Jerry Adams Friday, December 7, 1973, at the home of the bride's parents, 776 East 1100 South Street. Miss Hall is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar F. Hall, and Mr. Adams is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elvis Adams, 832North 100 West Street. Cindy is agraduateoftheOrem High School, attended the Orem LDS Seminary, and is a member of the LDS Church. Jerry is also an Orem High School graduate, attended the Orem Seminary, and played football for Orem High. FoUowing the wedding, a reception will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. The Hall home will be Literary Club Holds Yule Party TheOrem Literary Club met December 3 for their Christmas Party at the home of Mrs. J.D. Pyne. Mrs. Nina Stratton was co-hostess. Beautiful seasons decorations were used throughout through-out the Pyne home. A delicious luncheon was served to the group. A donation was made by members mem-bers present to send to the Ettie Lee Homes for Boys. Mrs. Leora Calder sang "A Christmas Carol" accompanied by Mrs. Melba Calder. Mrs. Calder then led the group in singing Christmas Christ-mas Carols. The group enjoyed visiting the remainder of the time. Twelve members were present. decorated in red and white, with white carnations, and red roses for flowers. All friends and relatives are invited to attend the reception. Workshop To Present Dress Experiments Opera Experiments in Contemporary Con-temporary Dress will be presented pre-sented by members of the BYU Opera Workshop on Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall of the Harris Fine Arts Center. The exerpts will be performed in the round, with the audience on the stage around the performers. per-formers. Modern dress will provide the audience with a varied view of scenes from such timeless comedies as Mozart's 'Marriage of Figaro" and Donizetti's "Don Pasquale." American opera will be represented by a portion of Carlisle Floyd's "Susannah," perhaps the most popular of American operas since its premiere pre-miere in 1956. Distinct contrast to these scenes will be provided in an : excerp from the surviving opera. Jacopo Peri's "Euridice," written in 1600. Tickets are not required for the performance. Projector Is Scera Park School Goal In their last week of theCamp-bell theCamp-bell Soup Label Drive are the students at Scera Park Elementary Ele-mentary School. The drive has included a contest between the classrooms with a prize to be awarded to the class collecting the most labels. The drive is being sponsored by the P.T.A. The organization hopes enough labels will be accumulated ac-cumulated to obtain a movie projector pro-jector for the school. The Campbell Camp-bell Soup Company offers various premiums, such as the projector, to organizations which save and send in the labels.
