Letter To Editor. .. Dear Editor, I would like to publically thank the Orem Ambulance Staff and the Orem C ity Officials who make the ambulance service available to the citizens of Our city. Twice in the last year, my son has been injured seriously at school. Both times the Orem ambulance was called. These men knew exactly how to move their patient, once with a severe back injury and once with a severe head injury. He was taken to the hospital and the ambulance staff stood by for further instructions. When it was determined that my son would have to be transfered to Salt Lake City, there was no hesitation, hesi-tation, they rushed him to another hospital in another city fifty miles away, giving him attention and aid all the way. When I called the City office to find out what my bill was, the answer was, "You don't owe us one cent, you live in Orem don't you?" Orem City needs another new ambulance. May I appeal to everyone to apply the spirit of Christmas and give to this worthy cause. I know how much this service is needed and appreciated. apprec-iated. Who knows which one of our families will need it next? I'm sure they will receive the same wonderful, friendly service that we did. Thanks to you men who so willingly give your help and service when we need it the most. This is just one of the many reasons we can be glad we live in Orem. Sincerely, Thaola Tucker. Nutcracker To Come To Provo The fun and frolic of one of the brightest Christmas stories ever told (or danced) will come to Brigham Young University as Ballet West and the Utah Symphony Sym-phony Orchestra return again to stage Tschaikovsky's fantasy ballet, "The Nutcracker." Tickets will go on sale Monday (Dec. 10) at the music ticket office. This year's cast will include company members of the Ballet West (a professional company which serves the Intermountain West) along with members of the Corps de Ballet of the University Univer-sity of Utah and a number of area children ages nine through 12 with ballet experience. " The fantasy is part of the repertoire of nearly every ballet company in the world, because of its Christmas appeal. The earthiness of pagan post-harvest post-harvest festivals, the spirituality spiritual-ity of Christian rejoicing, anc the European folk beliefs about animals being gifted with speech on Christmas Eve are all woven into the fanciful story.
