Hancey Jr. was revealed at a beautifully candle-light luncheon at the home of the bride. Miss Stratton is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren I. Stratton of drem. She is a graduate of Brig-bam Brig-bam Young University and is currently cur-rently teaching in Provo. She was prominent at Orem High School, having been a student-body student-body officer, and a delegate to Girls State where she was mayor of her city. She is a graduate of PatriciaSteven's FashionMer-chandising FashionMer-chandising and Modeling in Salt Lake City. She has been MISS Orem, scholarship winner in the Miss Utah pageant, and Queen of the Days of '47 for Utah. She was the president of the home-making home-making education section of Sigma Sig-ma Delta 0 micron. Mr. Hancey is also a graduate of Orem High School. He has served in the National Guard. He has fulfilled an LDS mission in North Germany. He is a Junior at Brigham Young University wuere ne will continue his education. edu-cation. The wedding will take place in the Salt Lake Temple on June 4th followed by a wedding breakfast at the Hotel Utah Skyroom. On' June 5th a reception will be held at the WilkinsonCenterSkyroom. Christensen who will be wed on June 19 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and honored that evening at a reception in the Orem Seventh Ward Hall. Parents of the betrothed couple are Mrs. Julia F. Swan of Orem and the late Charles B. Swan Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Christensen of Provo. Miss Swan is a graduate of Orem High School where she was Tigerett president. She also graduated from Orem LDS Seminary. Sem-inary. Now a junior at Brigham Young University, she has served as Spurs president; BYU Delphis vice president; BYU Inter-Organization Council secretary, member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society. She was Miss Orem of 1967 and runner-up to Miss Utah County. Mr. Christensen, also a graduate gradu-ate of Orem High School and LDS Seminary, is now attending BYU after serving in the California Cali-fornia North LDS Mission. He was Orem High Band president and a member of the national Honor Society. The couple will continue their education and reside in Orem. Orem Jaycee Wives Complete Medical Self -Help Course The Orem Jaycee Wives have completed the CMlDefense Medical Med-ical Self Help Course. Graduation Gradua-tion Exercises were held recent-. ly at the County Civil Defense Headquarters in Provo. This ends 11 weeks of instruction, study and practice in proceedures to follow in the event of a disaster. It also earned each Graduate a Red' Cross Training Certificate. The class was instructed under, the direction of Mr. George Mc-Kinney, Mc-Kinney, Orem civil defense director. dir-ector. Graduation Certificates were presented by Mr. Fred Loveless, Love-less, Utah County Civil Defense Director. After the graduation ceremony the class toured the Headquarters Building and received a briefing on its operation. Jerold Nelson, Calleen Pyne To Wed In June A lovely spring wedding is being planned for Jerold Nelson and Calleen Pyne, who will be united in marriage on the 20th of June. Announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage are Edward Ed-ward L. Pyne and Kenneth W. Nelson. All are of Orem. After the ceremony the couple will greet pests at a reception recep-tion held in their honor at the 18th Ward Chapel. Miss Pyne attended the Orem schools and is presently employed em-ployed in Orem. Mr. Nelson attended at-tended the Provo schools and also the Utah Technical College of Provo. He has served in the Armed Forces and is now employed em-ployed in Provo. The couple plan to reside in the Orem area after their marriage, mar-riage, where they will continue their employment. Planning to be married June 12 are Connie Jacobson of Orem .and' Kent Barnhart of Pleasant Grove. The marriage rites will be performed in the Orem 9th Ward with Bishop Paul Larsen officiating. Parents of the betrothed couple are Mr. and Mrs. Monard R. Jacobson and Mr. and Mrs. Holland Hol-land L. Barnhart. Following their marriage the newlyweds will greet friends and relatives at a reception in the Orem 9th Ward from 8 to 10 p.m. The bride-elect will graduate this month from Orem High School.
