Simple dance routines in all fields of dance will be taught by Miss Rowley. This will serve to place the dancing classes on a recreation-level, rather than to toe preparatory to a formal dance revue. That sentence couched in legal le-gal terms, is being brought to the attention of Orem motorists motor-ists in its simple meaning by Orem traffic officers interested in making the city's streets sa'fer. The above law, enacted 'in 1961, means that a driver intending in-tending to make a left turn must wait until he can do so in safety. He must yield the right of way. to all vehicles in or approaching the intersection inter-section if they constitute to his safely completing a left hand turn. In enforcing this law, officers offic-ers usually will ticket the driver dri-ver turning if a collision occurs. oc-curs. This is because the fact that the collision occurred proves that the hazard did exist. ex-ist. If the driver can make the left turn without an accident, fine. But if a collision results, he's likely to be blamed, and receive a citation for failure to yield right of way, officers point out. Thus, a driver does not have any right to make a left turn until he can turn in safety. Orem officers said that one out of six accidents here has been due to improper turning. Ten of this type occurred last year on State Street alone, they noted. . Motorists, they said, should be in the proper lane, signal at least the required distance, and make the turn when no hazard exists from others cars. Obeying the law makes any driver less likely to have an accident, oJfieeM stfid, as well: as less likely to receive a citation. cit-ation. ; DRIVER PLEADS r GUILTY Ester Sorenson E d w ards; 64, 248 E. 800 N., pleaded guilty guil-ty in Orem City Court on 6 driving while under the ini fluence of intoxicating beveri ages, and was fined $30. z ((131)) .5 IT'S FUN TO FLY! and YOU RECEIVE Friendly and Courteous Service at Deseret Travel Bureau 58 N.
