TELL ME, HURRr I Two Selected For University of Utah Science Symposium Two students from Orem have been selected to participate partici-pate in the first Intermountarin Junior Science and Humanities Symposium at the University of Utah. Karry De St. Jeor, 16 and Robert D. Jones 15, ' will be among 200 students from Ida ho, Nevada, Colorado, Wyom ing and Utah on the U campus April 25 for the three-day meeting. Both are tenth grade students at Orem High SchooJ. The symposium, one of 23 being presented throughout the United States, is sponsored by the U.S. Army is cooperation with Duke University. The University of of Utah along with Dugway Proving Grounds will co-sponsor the Inter-mountain Inter-mountain Symposium, r J 1 Recently 50 men started removing a million tons of rock and earth near Kennecott's Bingham Canyon Mine. These temporary jobs are the result of the first step in Kennecott's $100-million program to increase the production of copper in Utah. As the program moves forward, there will be many similar jobs in such projects as the construction of miles of truck roads, a new precipitation plant, a new crashing plant and a maintenance shop. Sgt. Bill Blush, local Air Force recruiter. re-cruiter. Lusk departed for Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, on April 2, 1963, for basic training. train-ing. Sgt. Blush also said that he expects Lusk to be assigned to the administrative field for technical training following basic training, based on preliminary pre-liminary aptitude tests which indicated that Luck possesses unusual ability in the administrative admin-istrative field.
