Show ii i j uuuuuyjuy Oem - Geneva Times f letters to tike Edition Thursday, April 11, 1963 si Dear Editor: Clean-up time, beautificat-lon beautificat-lon of home and surroundings, pride in family and home, pride in community are all Bymbols of Spring. After the long dark days of winter, nothing no-thing is so exillarating or .satisfying .sat-isfying as giving all our surroundings sur-roundings the look of freshness fresh-ness and beauty. It comes as a natural to all beings, all beings be-ings react to it, and if properly proper-ly guided and encouraged, especially es-pecially among our young people, peo-ple, relieves the mind from uncertainty, - uncertainty that too often results in an exhibition ex-hibition of self attainment for things not conducive to beauty and pleasures nor to good family fam-ily and community relations. A friend, on being asked what was one of the most memorable events in his life replied "On a balmy spring day when I was was a youngster young-ster I raked and cleaned the yard without suggestion. While doirg it two of my aunties came to see mother. They gave me a pat on the back as they went by and I heard mother thru an open window, give me a word of praise. When father came from the field he told me how nicely I had done the yard. That was the most memorable mem-orable day of my life. It has given me incentive every day, it has taught me more leadership leader-ship and planning on what to do next than all else." Agricultural Committee of Greater Utah Valley Inc. Rulon Nichols, Chairman. New Lenten What countless number of ways there are for serving spaghetti! spa-ghetti! Of the many fashions, the combination of spaghetti and seafood comes to mind less often oft-en than others. Yet, it's a means of stretching the good flavor of seafood a long way, and it's a delightful Lenten treat. Here crabmeat is combined with spaghetti in a tasty casserole casse-role for lunch or dinner. It's an attractive dish given a light tomato to-mato color with cream of tomato toma-to soup. If you've never used herbs before, be-fore, be sure to try using marjoram mar-joram used in this dish. See if after the first bite, you don't agree something has been added which enhances the flavor of the food. If you once begin to cook with herbs, you'll enjoy using them because of the distinctive taste they give to the dish to which they're added. Remember with fresh herbs a little bit goes a long way. LETTERS TO EDItOR I would like to commend the Orem police force on the speed and efficiency with which they handled the case of my son who was involved in an accident acci-dent between a truck and a Honda motorcycle, S u nday April 7, and the wonderful ambulance service rendered to him. Some time ago we were asked to contribute to the buying buy-ing of a police ambulance for the eitv of Orem. I was one of the first to contribute to this very worthy cause, and I can say I have been more than repaid re-paid on several occasions as I suppose many other Orem peo ple have. If the Orem ponce take care of all accidents that they are called out to, as they did that of my son, then the people of Orem might well be nroud of the force ana me wonderful ambulance service.
