Club ' members will present a potted Easter lily at each heme. Appearing on the program will be the Fern Cox dance group, including Janeen Ol-sen, Ol-sen, Becky Lott, Lori Thomson, Thom-son, Ann Marie Wightman, Cathy Sheppard, Fae Manning and Steven Brown, with mus ical numbers by Ruth Ann Bennett, Judy and Sherry Lynn Bailey, Ricky Olsen, Barbara Black Willis and Dennis Den-nis Patten. Mrs.' Orland Pyne will be accompanist. MRS. GARTH KUMP IN UTAH VALLEY HOSPITAL Mrs. Garth Kump, 212 N. 450 E., is in Utah Valley Hospital this week for treatment of a heart condition. Tonight Orem Stake wlil be represented repre-sented in the inter-division quartet festival tonight (April 11) at 8 p.m. in the Palmyra Stake House, 505 East 9th North, Spanish Fork. Members of the senior quartet quar-tet include Joe Ann Grey, Ruth Christensen, Delone Muir and Marva Sorensen. Junior quartet members competing are from Alpine Stake. These foursomes won their ward, stake and district festivals festi-vals to qualify for the inter-division inter-division finals. Edgemont Sets Kindergarten Registration Registration for Edgemont elementary school kindergart en will be held next Thursday, April 18 at the school. Registration can be made from 2:15 D.m. until 3:20, at which time an orientation meeting will begin, and also following the meeting. The child should be five years old by Oct. 31, and a birth certificate must be presented pre-sented as evidence. A certifi cate may be obtained from the state department of v i tal statistics. Vlsitins days for the child ren will be May 15, 16 and 17. Children will not attend next week's registration sessions. Variety Show Set As Benefit For Exceptional PTA A variety show including music and dancing is scheduled schedul-ed for April 12 at 7:30 p. m. at Orem High School. The show is a benefit for the Alpine School District Exceptional Excep-tional Child PTA, according to Mrs. Thomas McGinnis, Orem, president. Willis Pulver will be master of ceremonies. Fredova Dance studio will furnish the program. pro-gram. Mrs. Dean Powell, PI. Grove PTA project chairman, is In charge of the show. Tickets Tic-kets are available for 25 cents. Robert L. Norton Named Platoon Sub-Commander Mid-shipman First C 1 ass Robert L. Norton, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orrin E. Norton of 1405 So. 240 E., Orem, has been named by the Superintendent, Superin-tendent, U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md., as a Platoon Sub-commander in the 4,000 man Brigade of Midshipmen. He will hold office from March 22 through June, Graduation Grad-uation Day at the Academy. Midshipmen are selected for Brigade positions on the basis of over-all officer-like qualities, qualit-ies, academic standing and conduct. Campbell Receives Marine Training Marine Lance Corporal Gary N. Campbell, son of Mr. and Mrs. N. J. Campbell of 509 W. 165 So., Orem, recently participated parti-cipated in a major amphibious exercise off the coast of Southern South-ern California. The exercise provided train ing for men of the First Marine Mar-ine Division and the First Fleet. More than 40 ships and 24,000 Marines took part. Out-Dated Styles Prove Amusing At 0. F. Club Styles of at least ten years ago were the rule as O.F. Club members met April 1 at the home of Mrs. Merlin Finch. All members dressed stylishly stylish-ly for April Fool's Day in outdated out-dated fashions. There were no worries among the ladies about knees showing, as hems ten years ago came six to eight inches below the knee. Pin-pleated Pin-pleated skirts vied for attent ion with platform-soled shoes. Prizes for "best - dressed" went to Mrs. Dean Olsen and Mrs. William Cox. Mrs. Woodruff Jensen read fascinating articles to the group on the joys of walking and how to make middle age more Interesting. Mrs. Joe Adams then enter tained with poems, "How to Preserve a Husband," and "Recipe for a Home." Games were played. The hostess served ser-ved a tray luncheon. The next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Woodruff Jensen. Elaine Lischak Elaine Lischak, Ernest F. Seppi To Exchange Wedding Vows June 1 Mr. and Mrs. John Lischak announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Elaine, to Ernest F. Seppi, son of Mrs. Joseph Seppi of Provo. The couple will exchange vows in a double ring ceremony cere-mony June 1 at 12 noon at St. Francis Catholic church in Provo. Mr. Brienholt has "Timp-anogos "Timp-anogos Morning" on display in the exhibit, and Mr. Salisburv has "High Noon" and "Even ing Sun." The group were especially es-pecially interested in paintings paint-ings by ten other artists from this area, including Francis Msgleby, Glen Turner, Arnold Friberg and LeCont Stewart. After the tour the group went to the home of Mrs. Byron Sumner for refreshments and a short business meeting. Guests in addition to those mentioned were Mrs. Marvin Burgon, Mrs. Lynn Christop- herson, Mrs. Garth Jolley, Mrs. R. G. Cornell, Mark Wood, David Packard, Lee Kirk and Melvin Burgener. Next meeting of the club will be their special Mother's Luncheon, scheduled to be held May 4 at 1 p.m. in the Royal Inn. MR. and MRS. LAUDIE RETURN TO OREM Mr. and Mrs. C. Lucius Laudie have returned to their home In Orem after spending the winter In Mesa, Ariz. They returned at this time due to the death of their daughter, Orpha L. Riding, in Texas, whose services were held here. During the past three winters the Laudies have remained in Mesa to enjoy the winter weather and attend the LDS Temple there.
