The boys and girls competed at the state track and field championships over the weekend at Brigham Young University, where new ic?- ! records were set in two events. by Derek Jensen OF THE RECORD STAFF The Park City Miners spent the weekend at BYU for the 3A State Track and Field Championships. Following is team and individual results: Girls Out of 22 schools they finished seventh overall with 31 total points. Jenn Jackman set a new school record in the 300-meter hurdles, where she finished second sec-ond with a 45.16. Jackman aiso took fourth in the 100-meter hurdles hur-dles with a 15.53. Car.dace Lukenbach took fifth in javelin with a throw of 1061". Jenn Fields placed seventh in the 800-meter 800-meter run with a time of 2:24.35. Meg Knudsen finished eighth in the 1600-meter and fourth in the 3200-meter race with an 1 1:43.89. !n the 4 X 400-meter relay, the Ladv Miners took third overall. The' 4:07.27 time by Bree Chittenden. Jill Jensen, Megan Kahn and Jenn Jackman set a new school record. Boys The Ixns finished in a tie for 10th place with 27 total points. Tim Odland took second in the shot put with a 47' 14", and fifth in discuss with a throw of 127 5". Brad Osguthorpe took third in the 400-meter dash with a time ot 51.73. Nate Clark took seventh in the 300-meter hurdles at 41.16. and eighth in the 110-meter high hurdles with a 16.20. Jason Jones earned third place in the pole vault with a 12'6" mark.
