Center St. Mirror Lake Rd. 783-4348 V O'Shucks men's soccer club delivers 1-0 shutout v Submitted by O'Shucks Park City men's soccer club In what was a total team effort out at the Ecker Hill field on Saturday, the O'Shucks Park City men's soccer shut out Orem 1-0 in Utah men's first division action. O'Shucks displayed an intensity intensi-ty which had been lacking in some of their matches this spring, and coach Bob Martin helped orchestrate orches-trate some key adjustments to the lineup. The difference was imme diately apparent in the midfield where Clay Rowan. Scott Basso. Greg Gendron and Craig Van Valkenberg were able to keep constant pressure on the Orem defense. The only goal of the game came 3C minutes into the first half. Park City had been breaking down the right side of the Orem defense from the outset and was earning several free kicks in the Orem zone. On a corner kick from Todd Schlopy, a deflected ball in front of the net ended up on the foot of Robbie Timm who made no mistake in finishing it into the lower right hand corner. Rather than try to sit on the lead as they have in the past. O'Shucks continued to look for more scoring opportunities and had the edge in possession for perhaps the first time this season.
