The thick blanket of snow that covers the meadow will provide the perfect opportunity for the community commu-nity to don some snowshoes and be guided through the preserve. Wildlife ecologists and trained guides will be showing participants the tracks of native animals that live in and travel through the preserve. Lucky snowshoers may even catch a glance of the actual animals that leave their footprints. As there is bound to be an abundance abun-dance of sunlight, participants can expect to see and learn valuable information about the preserve and the wildlife that it harbors. Little Bear Snowshoes will be providing pro-viding 40 free pairs to fit all ages, two-years old and up. To reach Swaner Nature Preserve Kiosk, take the Kimball, Junction exit (No. 145) off of 1-80.
