Show -The Park Record Section C Thursday, March 1 0, 1994 Page C3 The Utah Winter Sports Park at Bear Hollow The winter season is winding down at the Utah Winter Sports Park at Bear Hollow. While activity on the K90 jump has ceased due to Mother Nature's refusal to cooperate, several special events remain, including the March Madness Nordic Jumping events, with competition on the K18, K38 and K6S jumps, March 18-20. The Wednesday Night Town Jump Scries Championships will take place on March 23 at 5 p.m. There will also be a Utah K65 ;Gelande Competition this Saturday and Sunday, March 12-13 at 9 a.m. both days. For more information on activities at the Utah Winter Sports Park, call 649-5447 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday or try the Bear Hollow Winter Sports Club at 645-7660. Friday night Junior Wednesday night Town Jump Challenge results Jump Series results PC Junior Jazz team nets perfect season V The Friday night Junior Jump Challenge of March 4 was a distance only competition, with competitors getting one jump each. Competition was "held for those of an introductory level as well as for jumpers with experience. As always, there was jumping on both the K18 and K38 hills. Park City's 11-14 year old girls' Junior Jazz entry, Team Michigan, recorded their second straight perfect season in 1994, going undefeated in their league. The girls also were undefeated in 1993 Junior Jazz, action. Team Michigan, which included several girls who had never played organized basketball before, used tenacious defense and intense offense to complete their perfect season. Team Michigan was coached by Gerry McMillan and Gary Stam. PCST alumni ski to top results in World Cup, NCSA 0-8 , ' , .-r Tav Streit helped pace the University of Nevada-Reno to an NCSA. national championship in New Jersey last week. Three of the Park City Ski Team's alumni have fared well in recent action at the collegiate and international levels. U. S. Ski Team member Jeremy Nobis, who scored a ninth-place finish in the giant slalom at the recent Olympics in Norway, picked up another point-scoring point-scoring result in Aspen, Colo, on Sunday. Nobis was the top American, placing 13th in the GS. Fredrik Nyberg of Sweden was first In the National Collegiate Ski Association's 1994 national championships, which were held at Great Gorge, N.J. last week, Rachel Solomon, a graduate of Park City High School now racing for Brown University, finished 16th in the GS and in the slalom. Tav Streit, a 1993 graduate of Park City High School helped lead the University of Nevada, Reno to a national crown at last week's NCSA championships. Streit finished seventh in both the 18-kilometer freestyle and 18-kilometer 18-kilometer classic races. He was also on the first-place 4 X 10-kilometer 10-kilometer relay team, skiing the fastest 10K classic leg of the race.
