This is the second time Chord On Blues has been called down to perform at a Salt Lake event; the band played for the opening celebration of Arnold Schwarzenegger's Total Recall a couple months ago. Chord On Blues is also planning to play the Dead Goat Saloon in Salt Lake next month. While success in Salt Lake isn't unprecedented the Dr. Bob Band makes regular trips to the city ci-ty Chord On Blues has found popularity rather quickly. The band was formed just over a year ago, put together from members of Cisero's Local's Night. Guitarist Glenn Goodwin assembled assembl-ed the band at the same time he was playing in Blues Express; but when Blues Express fell to scheduling conflicts, Chord On Blues became bis main interest . The line-up of Chord On Blues accounts for a good deal of their success. Goodwin is an experienced experienc-ed reggaeblues guitarist who's done studio work with Joe Cocker as well as his own work. Percus sionist Dave Carrillo is from Spaces, a popular Salt Lake band, and keyboardist Brian Hess is from Rods and Cones, a Boston band which has released two albums and opened for a number of national acts. Drummer Jim Clahane was an original member of Dr. Bob, and bassist Tom White has been entertaining locals at Cisero's for years. The Raging Waters party is open to the public; Chord On Blues will play at 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Music ' The Jensen-Woodbury Duo has been performing in Midway each August for ten years, and the show has aged beautifully.
