The geographic boundaries of the county require one, you the residents deserve one, as taxpayers you pay for one, if elected he pledges to be one. Law enforcement is his profession: 1. Fred worked the first 3 years without a holiday off. The only holiday he has taken off in the last 8 years is Labor Day. 2. He spearheaded the crackdown on teenage canyon parties in the county. 3. He worked closely with Sheriff Robinson in the passing of the Summit County "Keg Law." No longer are our canyons used as beer gardens by the residents of the surrounding counties. 4. For the last 18 months he has been setting up neighborhood watches in Summit Park and the Timberiine areas of the county. This service is offered to all areas of the county when requested. 5. He is the officer in charge of the "Summit County Search and Rescue." 6. Is active in the state's DUI enforcement program. 7. Fred has worked traffic control at every major event in Summit County for the last 11 years. A certified law enforcement officer, graduate of the "Utah State Police Academy" in 1972, over 1,000 hours of specialized training and schooling in all phases of law enforcement. He knows the laws and applies them equally and fairly. He is admired and respected by his fellow officers and those who know him. He has gained a close working relationship with other law enforcement agencies in this state and the state of Wyoming. As a lifelong resident of Summit County he knows the county and its enforcement enforce-ment needs. As a native of Park City he is aware of the problems that rapid growth can cause inlaw enforcement. His experience can and will help him avoid many of the problems that faced the Park City Police Department during the past 19 years because of the rapid growth.
