Locatedt at the corner of Monitor and Lucky John Drive in Holiday Ranch, the farmhouse-style home will contain four bedrooms bed-rooms in a 2,200 square foot floor plan. More than 50 members and friends of the Methodist-affiliated Methodist-affiliated church attended groundbreaking ceremonies at 11 a.m., following the Sunday worship service. Leading off the occas jon, Pat VanWagoner, a member of the board of trustees, said "This ceremony marks the culmination of over two years in planning, struggling and praying for our church... for its growth, for a full-time minister, for the completion of our mission study plans. And it marks the beginning of a campaign that will require dedication, time and financing on all our parts." Trustee Sue Worley gave a brief history of the Park City Community Church, its pastors pas-tors and parsonages. She pointed out that, along with Park City itself, the Community Com-munity Church will be celebrating cele-brating its 100th anniversary in 1984. The church once had a parsonage on Park Avenue (just north of the present church building). But the fortunes of the church followed fol-lowed closely those of the city itself, and in 1960-61 the parsonage was sold for $1,500, with the receipts used for church repairs. Old middle school to go on market The Park City Board of Education is conducting appraisals ap-praisals and title searches on the old Carl Winters Middle School, with plans to put it on the market later this year. "We currently are meeting with attorneys to develop a document to advertise the building for sale," said Dr. Richard Goodworth, school district superintendent.1 Goodworth said the district has been approached in past months by several different groups interested in the property.
