Resort marketing director Craig Badami Monday introduced in-troduced to the press his cloned protege Greg. Craig said Greg was cloned 12 years ago from a freckle cell. Greg is identical to Craig in every respect except ex-cept he is still growing and has yet to go helicopter skiing. Greg will take over marketing responsibilities when Craig moves up to a higher level position. Although the cloning experiment ex-periment has been an unqualified success, according accor-ding to the doner, there was one period when the whole program verged on failure. At age five, Greg came down with a severe case of freckle cell anemia. However, secret treatments by doctors flown in from the Bugaboos pulled the youth through this ravaging illness. arK ivieaaows expansion Continued From Page 1 Lehmer supported the property owner's concerns and said the promised "traffic road to Dr. Osguthorpe should be put in or Monitor Drive will get all the traffic." City traffic analyst Wayne Van-Wagoner Van-Wagoner said a report made by development analyst Tom Stone showed the two existing roads and the proposed access road would have traffic volumes high enough to consider con-sider them collector roads. A collector road is 46' wide with gutters, while the average roadis 30' . ., Although . there .wyibe some, delay,; durjngH ,pea.kr "periods', VanWagoner said the access roads "will be adequate." In answer to Dr. Osguthorpe's concerns con-cerns over the water drainage problem, Johnson said he is working on a new master system that would drain to the east and west of the proposed project. On Monday Johnson said state law requires that more water cannot flow through an area after af-ter development than before, and he was looking into ways to control the water - flow. Because the Park Meadows area has little elevation change, Johnson said a sump may be built to collect water that would then be pumped to retention ponds. Dr. Osguthorpe expressed concern over a change in water levels of Silver Creek and Kimball Creek because each enters one of his properties and is a potential flood hazard. Johnson said it was not his intention to flood any adjacent properties, but the doctor doc-tor countered, "There is no way you can alter the creek and not affect me. I'm not going to get in a boat to go around my property." Commissioner Greg Lawson said he felt there was a problem with the proposed loop road in Park Meadows No: 6. The road is the only access into ' that area and loops bacte-on -itself. Lawson said if the road was blocked there would be no access to the area, particularly for emergency vehicles. "There are three adjoining properties proper-ties in the county that don't flood out, but this project is in the city," Johnson John-son said. "And there are two access roads already and there are plans for a third. We're working on the , drainage problem. And if the planned streets are wide enough, what else do you want to see from us? We're asking for preliminary approval." "We need to digest all of this to come back with appropriate dialogue," Chairman Watts said. "I think we've flogged a dead mule enough for tonight." oliday Village Continued From Page 1 system in lieu of our own. " "Plan For Ourselves" Jere Calmes concluded the public input session with, "Four years ago you couldn't call Park City a family dwelling place. People aren't coming from Salt Lake to shop here. This is now a bedroom community and we have to plan for ourselves." After a short recess, the commission com-mission began its decision-making session. City Planner David Preece recommended the city approve the Holiday Village shopping center provided: the site plan includes curbs, gutters gut-ters and landscaping in che first phase that 8-17 gallon mature trees be used in the landscaping the signage of all shops have a common theme necessary improvements be made on Park Avenue to include a third lane to alleviate traffic burdens all architectural designs and materials presented be adhered to construction phases be implemented im-plemented as presented sewer district approval is granted the existing dirt Homestake Rd. be built to city specifications and dedicated to the city. Developer Rob Morris said the "provisions are lair and witnm our intent." in-tent." He continued that they intend to add a third lane on the east side of Park Avene from the First Security Bank to the intersection of Highways 224 and 248 to control the traffic flow. Commissioner Greg Lawson moved that the Planning Commission approve ap-prove the project, reiterating Preece's earlier provisions. When the issue was voted on, only Lawson was opposed. Chairman Watts concluded discussion on the project by congratulating the commission for the "intensity" of its study of the development.
