Authorized Radio hack OlALfO W318 i Senecio longilobus Groundsels are a member of the genus Senecio which is one of the most broadly distributed genera in the world. Of the genus represented in the Rocky Mountain West there are more than two dozen species all of which have bright yellow flower clusters. The individual blossoms measure V2" to 1" wide with 5 or more oval petals. The plant varies in height from 6 inches to 3 feet and is found in sunny locations from an elevation of 2,500 feet to 12,000feet. The Treadlead Grounsel (pictured here), is common to the Wasatch and Uinta, ranges and has leaves that are linear and matted with woolly hairs. All species of Groundsel are eaten by livestock and wildlife to some extent, but are not considered to be of great importance as range plants. .'3a..1 n. ..
