Show Business Partner takes kids bowling Review -Wednesday. February 18, 1998 - Page 7 By Kalyn Secretan Career Exploration is the focus for Business Partner, B. J. Christensen, who works with sixth grade students at Grovecrest Elementary. B.J. is a special hero in Mrs. Tiffany's class. She enters the class in the fall and asks the students what they would like to do when they grow up. Her goal: By the time she leaves, she hopes all the students will change their career choice. The owner of A-Plus Benefits, B.J. works with many companies to do the payroll and provide insurance and other benefits. Some of her clients come into the classroom and tell about their vocation or company compa-ny and what students have to do to prepare for a career in their business. B.J. also took the students on various field trips to see the world of work in action. Students look forward to special Fridays, and the various vari-ous activities sponsored by their Business Partner. She takes an interest in all the students. stu-dents. Recently the students went to Superbowl where they went behind the scenes to see how the automatic pin setters work and all that is involved in maintaining the bowling alley. The students were able to bowl three games and B.J. treated them to lunch at the Superbowl. Other field trips were taken to A-Plus Benefits and lunch was brought to the students by Carnivore's Sandwiches. One day they toured Barnes Bullets, where they watched as bullets were made. They also went to Professional Heating in Pleasant Grove and B.J. took them to lunch at the Purple J us. x r r jr i i v- r f ft ; ys '&!JZ JZt't , Mls$ Tiffany's sixth grade students at Grovecrest School enjoyed a bowling party sponsored by their Business Parnter, B.
