Pleasant Grove PTA By KALYN SECRETAN "We Are Positively Jazzed About PTA," will be the theme for the coming year for all the schools in the Pleasant Grove area. The PTA Council met at the home of President Presi-dent Elizabeth Evans to make plans for the 1990-91 school year. Pres. Evans mentioned that Thurl Bailey is the Sate Honorary Chairman of PTA so we are free to use the Jazz name when talking about PTA. The theme and events for the coming year will be introduced to the PTA Council at their first meeting oh September 6 at 10 a.m. at the Manila Elementary School. State and National dues will be going up in the future and Local PTA's will have to be aware and work for a change in their by-laws. A tentative calendar was set up and the founders Day was set for February 12 rather than during the week of President's Day vacation. vaca-tion. The National PTA theme is "Leading the Way."
