Show 20 Fawn Cowan Hales Fawn Cowan' Hales, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother great-grandmother and friend, returned to her Heavenly Father on July 30, 2007, at the age of 95. She was born September 12, 1911 in Payson, Utah, to Loret-ta Loret-ta Alice Lewis and John Mitchell Cowan. Fawn was the tenth and last surviving sur-viving child. After graduating from " Payson High School and -attending Brigham Young 'Academy, Fawn married mar-ried Angus S. Hales of Spanish Fork on June 30, 1933 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. In June they celebrated cele-brated their 74th wedding anniversary; quite an accomplishment! ac-complishment! Angus and Fawn lived in Spanish Fork for 33 years and moved to Springville in 1966. She was a great support to her .husband who was a farmer farm-er and cattleman. She was a womderful homemaker, taking care of her six children chil-dren annd caring for ten foster children. Many enjoyed en-joyed her delicious candy and the beautiful afghans she crocheted for her family. ! Fawn loved to read and .was blessed with a keen memory, reciting scriptures, scrip-tures, songs, poems and 'readings with clarity and ; total recall. ' She served with great ".joy in many church call-lings call-lings in all auxiliaries. She "served as P.T.A. President at Spanish Fork Jr. High School. She also belonged to the Aglaian Literary ;Club in Spanish Fork for over 50 years. She was also employed at the Utah State Hospital for many years. Fawn is survived by her husband, Angus S. Hales of Springville; three sons: Glade Cowan (Farres Diamond), Dia-mond), Las Vegas, Nevada; J. Allen (Kirstine Keel), Springville; and Lynn Ray (Sharon Home), Spanish Fork;' three daughters: Loretta (Melvin) Ricks, Bonsall, California; Marilyn Mari-lyn (Mark) Bushman, Pleasant Grove; and June Alvord, (the late Steve Alvord), Glendale, California; Cali-fornia; 34 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Marian Hales, Spanish Fork. Fawn will bew greatly great-ly missed by her family and friends. She will be remembered as a peacemaker peace-maker and honored for her unselfish and gracious life. A special thank you is extended to Comfort Care Hospice for their kindness and loving care of Fawn. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Springville Fifth Ward, 245 S. 600 East. Friends may call on Friday evening eve-ning from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 South, Springville, and prior to the service on Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
