His last two years he courageously cou-rageously battled cancer with hope, humility and humor. Greg was born August 22, 1957 in Orem to Larry and Anetta Johnson. His childhood pictures show off his big, brown eyes and shy smile. Greg was a tender-hearted young boy. He had many fun childhood adventures as he tagged along behind his older brother and sisters sis-ters from the ballparks in Orem to his family farm in Carbon County. Greg attended and graduated grad-uated from Orem High School and LDS Seminary in 1975. He played football for the Tigers, and it was there he met many lifelong friends and his very best friend and sweetheart, Alice Al-ice Heaps. Greg and Alice married for eternity in the Provo LDS Temple August 26, 1977 and began their life together. They made Springville and Mapleton their home where they lived, loved and laughed together. Greg attended BYU studying Political Science and later received his Business degree from the University of Phoenix. He was very intelligent and was a lifelong learner. He was a voracious reader, reading a wide array of literature from political reviews to biographies to church doctrine to Louis L'Amour-and he liked to talk about what he read. He embraced an engaging engag-ing discussion, especially about politics, sports or religion. He was smart and serious about his convictions, con-victions, but he shared them with a little sarcasm, a subtle joke or a teasing teas-ing smile. Everyone liked talking with Greg. Together, Greg and Ali had three beautiful children chil-dren - Ryan, Jessica and Alex. His life revolved around them as they made many memories together togeth-er gathering in the back yard, traveling to baseball base-ball fields and boating at Lake Powell.
