Show Thursday, November 9, 2006 SPRINGVILLE HERALD Funfinity named Business of the Month for November The Springville Area Chamber of Commerce is honoring Funfinity in Springville as the Business of the Month for November. Novem-ber. Funfinity was established estab-lished by Ruth and Jimmy Morrison as an Internet-based Internet-based business in 2004. the Morrisons started Funfinity Funfin-ity with the simple goal of providing customers with high quality, family-oriented games, books, toys, and learning activities. In March of 2005, the Morrisons opened a re-tailstore re-tailstore on Main Street in Springville. Local support of the store and strong Internet sales led Funfinity Funfin-ity to quickly outgrow its physical location. As a result, Funfinity moved their business to a newly remodeled store across the road at 164 S. Main in Springville. The new location is much larger and has allowed Funfinity to add hundreds of fun new products including in-cluding a growing selection selec-tion of books. Ruth and Jimmy personally person-ally selected the products they carry in their store. Their selection is based on a few simple criterion: products must of course 1 nfwifiniftl if Books 1 Garni 'a i j 0 ' I It 7Ti f at'' CI -Ifunfta J&rittgviite ' An n l"' Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month CFS meeting atlibmry There will be a meeting meet-ing for anyone involved with Chronic Fatigue Immune Deficiency Syndrome (CFS) tonight, to-night, Thursday, Nov. 9, 7 p.m. in the Springville City Council Chambers, 50 S. West Animal Hospital Springville, Utah Iraqi veterinarians made considerable progress in planning the rebuilding of the veterinary infrastructure of their country during a three-day workshop organized orga-nized by the US Army and US Department of Agriculture, Agricul-ture, with considerable support from the US Agency for International Development. Ninety veterinarians-representing the Iraqi government, govern-ment, veterinary schools, laboratories and private prac-tices-from 16 of the 18 governorates in the country participated par-ticipated in the workshop. Six civilian veterinarians from the United States and five veterinarians from the US Army Civil Affairs stationed sta-tioned in Iraq helped organize and facilitate the meeting. meet-ing. Attendees ultimately risked their lives traveling through Iraq to reach the facility in ErbU where the event was held in August. At the workshop, the Iraqi veterinarians set aside issues is-sues that others must resolve, such as funding, security and geographic and religious differences, and instead focused on collaborating to enhance animal health in the country. One of the more substantial outcomes was the initial planning for an Iraqi Animal Health Organization. Organi-zation. The organization will be patterned after the US Animal Health Association, which works with governments, govern-ments, universities, veterinarians, national livestock and poultry organizations, and others to control livestock live-stock diseases in the United States. Dr. Paula Cowen from the USA said about the accomplishments accom-plishments made by the Iraqi veterinarians. "It doesn't often get conveyed out of that part of the world how desperately these people want a better life-want an active ac-tive (veterinary) profession that theyire willing to risk their lives to make that happen." - Even though much of the news reporting from Iraq seems to be not very good news, there are a lot if Iraq-ies Iraq-ies who really just want to live in freedom to choose a better lifestyle. .
