Arts night enjoyed by all The Springville Museum of Art's monthly Community Commu-nity & Family Night drew crowds of families where children were taught the basics ba-sics of water color painting, enjoyed a musical performance perfor-mance and participated in a seasonal art project. November's Community Night featured water color and pastel artist Jolene McQueen Mc-Queen and vocalist Mindy Boyce and included a fall-inspired fall-inspired art project for children chil-dren and their parents. Jolene McQueen is a Mapleton Ma-pleton resident who volunteers volun-teers at the local elementary school and feels that community com-munity night is a great way to expose children to art, an important part of their early education. "I think its important to teach kids how to think about things in a different way," McQueen said. "I think it helps them to appreciate ap-preciate the beauty around them, and learn how to appreciate ap-preciate good art work." "I want the kids to know that art is fun," McQueen said, "...that it is fun to her original pieces. Vocalist Mindy Boyce Pacific Horizon 96 E.
