Fortunately, no one in the audience au-dience seems to notice. In the U.S. touring production produc-tion of "Oliver!," Blau stars as the Artful Dodger, a wisecracking wisecrack-ing street thief who befriends a runaway orphan. The musical will pass through Salt Lake City for one week only, opening Tuesday and playing through Sept. 19 at the Capitol Theatre. Based on the classic Charles Dickens novel "Oliver Twist," "Oliver!" follows a young English Eng-lish orphan who escapes a workhouse and takes up with a band of petty thieves. The musical adaptation of the novel first opened in London in 1960. It became a smash success suc-cess three years later on Broadway. Broad-way. School, he said, is a meeting meet-ing in a hotel conference room with tutors. He celebrated his birthday on the road in Denver, gathering with cast members at the Hard Rock Cafe.
