Fielding, son of Jay and Joan Fielding of Orem, Utah. The couple plans to be married on Wednesday, August 4, 1999 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A garden reception will be held in their honor that evening from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Bungalow, 235 S. 100 West, Pleasant Grove. Friends and family are invited to attend. Angela graduated from Springville High School and LDS Seminary. She is now attending Utah Valley State College. She served an LDS mission in Adelaide, Australia. She is currendy working as an administrative assistant at Novell. Michael graduated from Mount View High School and LDS Seminary. He served an LDS mission in Brisbane, Australia. He is also a student at UVSC and looks forward to graduating in business marketing next April. Lisa Meldrum, James Rutledge to marry Sat. Jones of Orange-ville, Orange-ville, Utah are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Nicole, to Blaine C. Pugmire, son of Marianna Pugmire of Springville and Mr. and Mrs. Chad Pugmire of Fountain Green. Blaine and Nicole will be married, Friday, July 30, 1999 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Friends and family are invited to a reception which will be held in their honor July 30 from 6-8 p.m. at the Sharpe Reception Center, 396 N. 100 West, Provo. The couple will make their home in Daytona Beach, Florida where Blaine will finish his degree in aeronautical science. Nicole is currendy working work-ing as a math teacher in secondary education. Lori at 489-6128 Alberta Hoover to celebrate 90 years Alberta Mendenhall Hoover will be honored on her ninetieth birthday with a party at the Springville Spri-ngville Art Museum on July 31, 1999. All of her friends and family are invited to come and participate in the celebration at 7 p.m. Alberta was born in Raymond, Ray-mond, Alberta, Canada in 1909 on a large ranch and spent the early years of her summers there while attending school during the winter in Springville. Upon graduating from Springville High School, she went on an LDS Mission to California before attending Brigham Young University. Uni-versity. She married Bliss M. Hoover, and they raised four children. Alberta has been active both in church and community affairs. She helped organize a women's singing group in Springville called the "Musettes" and served as its leader for 37 years. She has put on several musicals that commemorated Utah's pioneer heritage. At the age of 82, Alberta Alber-ta completed another mission for her church serving in England. She has studied and taught voice, V v 1 " mmmmmm Alberta M. Hoover piano and conducting. She has given freely of her talents in church and community service all of her adult life. Alberta has four children, 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Come join in honoring this unusual lady. Kohler Ellsworth turned one car old on July 23, 1999. His parents are Andrew and Jennifer Jenni-fer Ellsworth of Springville. He has two sisters, Alexis and Madelyn. His grandparents are Dick and Annette Thomas of Springville and Bud and Barbara Barba-ra Ellsworth of Provo. Defensive driving class The Utah Safety Council is now offering four-hour defensive driving courses for people in the ProvoOrem area. The courses are held throughout the month at the Utah Valley State College (Orem Campus). The four-hour course consists of classroom instruction and focuses on accident prevention, driving confidence, awareness of hazards and improving driving skills. Drivers who successfully complete the course receive a 50-point 50-point reduction from their Utah driving record, once during a three-year period. Individuals 55 years of age and older may qualify quali-fy for insurance discounts after completing the course. Registration is $25 per person, per-son, or S8 for those age 55 and over that are only desiring a reduction in their insurance rates.
