Friends Richard and Colleen Drollinger and Sam and Betty Francis were there to add congratulations, along with her husband Lee and son David, who arranged for the trumpeters. Donna was then ushered into the back of a truck and driven through the streets of Springville while being serenaded with the traditional "Happy Birthday". Even a 'famous' marquee announced the event. A double string is held on the middle finger of each hand. The button, in the center of the string, is then twirled around and around until the string becomes so tight that it w ill sort of stretch when you move your hands rapidly in and out. Sometimes I get the feeling I'm the button in the middle, while one hand represents my children and the other represents my husband, my mother, mother-in-law, or something else demanding extra energy and time from me. It's not that I resent doing things for others. It's just that I have a most difficult time knowing when to say. "No." You can get yourself into all sorts of trouble w hen you can't say , "No." You find yourself marching around the block on every fund-raising campaign that comes along (because you did it once and now people have "grown accustomed to your face"). You find yourself making homemade ice cream for every church supper ( because you're one of the lucky lew who owns a freezer). You find yourself typing genealogy sheets for people peo-ple you don't even know ( because you have such a good typewriter). You find yourself promising a batch of homemade bread for some bake sale of other ( because you once said, "Of course I do my own baking." ) You find yourself accepting invitations to places you don't want to go (because the hostess was so nice when she invited you). You might even find yourself coaching a little league baseball team, and all too frequently you find yourself as chairman of some committee ( because you weakened in a moment of flattery ) . Before you know it, you find yourself feeling like that button on that string, going back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. Then all of a sudden, the string str-ing pops and the button goes sailing across the room or becomes hopelessly entagled in the string with no possible way of getting out. If I sound a little "kooky" this week, it's probably because I am. I think my string is about to pop. I think it just popped! 489-7469 191 South Main, Springville lUvJU I) l5 LyJ i ' v We pjft your moiniey to work ffoir yoaaS Highest return possible on First and Second Trust Deeds ALL INVESTMENTS SECURED BY REAL PROPERTY V n TONY EVANS Vice President and Manager of United Mortgage Orem Office We also arrange loans for private or business growth on your property-improved property-improved or unimproved paid for or not.
