Dunn celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary on April 17 with a family dinner party at Old Dan Tucker's. Matheson in an April 25 ceremony at the state capitol. The awards were given in recognition of the many hours spent by the Altrusa members in their project of tutoring Vietnamese and Laotian refugees. In addition to being honored for their service, the Altrusa Club of Provo hosted a spring workshop on April 28 under the direction of Mary Ray from Albuquerque, New Mexico, the District Ten representative. Bishop Frank Memory performed per-formed the ceremony. A reception was held that evening. Parents of the bride are George and Kathryn Black, Springville. Mr. Reid is the son of Karen K. Reid, Carpinteria, Calif. The bride wore her mother's wedding gown, which is lace over satin, with a tulle flounce tapered to form a slight train. Sequins and pearls accent the V-neckline and tulle flounce. She wore a veil of bridal illusion and carried a bouquet of silk orange roses accented with small forget-me-nots and baby's breath. Attending the bride was Angie Black, her sister as maid of honor, along with Deniece Nielson, JaNene Shepherd, Wendy Bayless and Laura Coleman. Tara Reid served as flower girl and Scott Shepherd was ring bearer. The attendants wore floor length dresses of orange floral print and each carried an orange rose. Best man was Kenny Reid, brother of the groom. Randy Reid and Fritz Black served ushers. Greeting guests at the door were Mr. and Mrs. Elden Nielson and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence (Butch) Degn, aunts and uncles of the bride. Music for the evening was furnished by Laura Coleman and Angie Black who played the guitar. Special guests were Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence (Fritz) Degn, grandparents grand-parents of the bride. The couple is honeymooning in California and an open house will fete them in Carpinteria on May 5th. The newlyweds will make their home in Provo.
