Stallings MAPLETON - Tim L. Stallings, 19, of 390 N. 2000 E. Mapleton, died Sunday. Oct. 22, 1978 at the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo of injuries suffered in a car -pedestrian accident of Oct. 17, 1978. He was born in Provo on April 9, 1959, the son of Golden L. and LuDeen Thorpe Stallings. Mr. Stallings attended school in Mapleton and was a graduate of the Springville High School. He was member of the LDS Church. He spent one year with the Youth Development Enterprises in Hawaii. Survivors include his parents of Mapleton; Brothers and sisters, Suzzanne Merrill, Nephi; Lewis G. Stallings, Payson; Larry T. Stallings and Boyd F. Stallings, both of Spanish Fork; Eddie Dean Stallings, in the Marine Corps stationed at Hawaii; Jullie Ann and Nancy Lee Stallings, both of Springville; grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Thorpe, Springville; and Mrs. Vernice Stallings Provo. Funeral was Wednesday Wed-nesday at 1 p.m. in the Mapleton Second-Third LDS Ward Chapel. Bishop Ronald Graves of the Third Ward officiated. Burial was in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. Barker Glen Vernon Barker, 57, -of Hobble Creek Canyon was dead on arrival at the Utah Valley Hospital Monday evening Oct. 23, 1978 of injuries suffered in an auto-pedestrian auto-pedestrian accident a short time earlier. He was born Dec. 24, 1920 at Springville the son of Joseph Hyrum and Minnie Averett Barker. He was married to Lois Gladys Bates Sept. 13, 1945, at Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solomnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Mr. Barker was employed em-ployed at the Geneva Works U.S. Steel Co. for 32 years, and also helped his father on the farm. He was active in the GRA Bowling League and served as president for two years and was captain cap-tain of the Blast Furnace no. 1 Team for many years. He was active in family genealogy. Mr. Barker served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Surviving, wife of Hobble Creek Canyon; two daughters and four sons, Mrs. Patsy Ann Huff, Orem; Mrs. Morris (Evelyn) Howard, Roy; Steven Aaron Barker, Provo; Samuel Rodger Barker, and James Moroni Barker, both of Springville; Dennis Vernon Barker, Huntington; Hun-tington; nine grandchildren; grand-children; parents of Hobble Creek Canyon; one sister and four brothers, Mrs. Marie Barker West, Springville; Dean Barker, Granger; Loyd Barker, Springville; Norman Barker and Wayne Barker, both of Mapleton. Funeral services will be conducted Friday Oct. 27, at 11 a.m. in the Kolob Stake Center in Springville. Bishop Rodney Burt of the Springville Sixth Ward will officiate. Friends may call at the Wheeler Mortuary Thursday from 7 til 9 p.m. or Friday morning from 9:30 til 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery with Military Rites by the Region 4 V.F.W. He was borr Nov. 1, 1912 at Richfield Utah the son of William Thomas and Elizabeth Baker Ogden. He was married to Berniece Shaw June 21, 1933 in the Manti LDS Temple. Mr. Ogden had been a farmer and rancher most of his life. Active in the LDS Church, he had served a stake mission, and had been a Cub Scout leader. She was born April 6, 1920 to James Royer and Edna Fowler Peery. On Sept. 20, 1941, she married Ernest V. An- chairman of the singles group in the Richfield Stake. He had also worked with the Lamanite Branch in Richfield. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. in the Richfield Fourth Ward LDS Chapel.
