The rally will be next Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. Road rally slated next Tuesday A four-stake Priest and Laurel Road Rally will be held on Tuesday, May 25, at 5:30 p.m. Starting point will be the Springville Stake Center with the course to travel as far away as Orem. Those who want to enter must attend an orientation meeting next Sunday, May 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the Springville Stake Center. A $1 registration fee must be paid at the orientation meeting. Any Priest or Laurel in Springville or Mapleton who is licensed driver and can provide a registered, inspected car to drive, may enter. Teams will be made up of one driver and one navigator per car. Teachers and Mia Maids are welcome as navigators or as drivers if they are licensed. The event will be completed in time for activity night Easy street is hard to find. Senior of the Week Ann Bowers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Bowers, has been chosen as Senior Student of the week. Ann has been an active participant par-ticipant in many organizations throughout her life. In the ninth grade she held the position of Mia Maid President of the IDS Church. She also held the position of Junior Sunday School organist, in the 10th grade. She has worked on the yearbook staff . for the last two years. She has v been in the drill team also for both the 11th and 12th grades. This year she holds the position of Laurel president for her church. For the past four years Ann has been very active in the GAA also. Ann has been an excellent student throughout her years in high school. She enjoys drama as one of her regular school subjects, and she is currently playing as one of the leads in the up-coming play, 'Cinderella'. In her spare time, Ann likes to sew and cook and she also enjoys playing the piano. In the future, Ann plans to attend Ricks College after she graduates from high school. Ann is a high-spirited, active student at SHS. She has been a hard worker that Springville High is proud to have. Ann Bowers My Neighbors Trust no future, howe'er pleasant! Jerry recently won third place in the State-wide VICA Skills Olympics for refrigeration and has just completed two years study at the Trade Tech. in refrigeration and air conditioning con-ditioning at the top of his class. Jerry has also had two years attendance at Ricks College in . Electrical Technology and a year at the LDS Business College in Salt Lake in computer Science. Jerry enjoys outdoor hobbies hob-bies with his wife, Nancy Camille; hunting, fishing, and hiking, and he spends many hours reading, tinkering - and going to school.
