SEVEN GERMAN PLANES DOWNED LONDON, April 9 (LE Seven German air raiders were believed to have been shot down during Monday's "battle of the moon," in which bombs were showered on vast areas of England, Scotland and North Ireland. In fair spring weather, with the moon only four days from its full phase, the Germans attacked for seven 'hours, scattering instead of concentrating their bombs. London had two raids, the first in 18 nights. One bomb fell beside a hospital for the aged, wrecking a wall, killg one patient and wounding two. The northeast, east, southeast, central and west districts of Scotland Scot-land were bombed but report3 indicated in-dicated casualties and damage were not heavy. North Ireland was bombed for the first time in several months. Fraternity An inter-executive council to Lambda Delta Sigma, national social-religious fraternity, has been organized at Brigham Young university. The women's chapter will be headed by Lucy Hodgson of Newdale, Idaho, president; June Andrew of Ogden, vica president; Helen Manwaring of Rexburg, Idaho, secretary. All are from the Psi chapter. Roland Hodgson, brother of Lucy, new head of the women's chapter, president;-Eldin Ricks of Provo, vice president; and Dale Rex of Randolph, secretary, were elected to guide the men's chapter. chap-ter. Mr. Hodgson and Mr. Rex are from the Beta chapter, and Mr. Ricks is from the Alpha chapter. To fill in the vacancies left by these choices, June Smith of Provo was elected vice president of the Psi chapter in place of president of the Psi chapter in place of Miss Hodgson. In the Beta chapter, Philip Low of Salt Lake City will take Mr. Hodgson's place as vice president and Richmond Rich-mond Anderson of Richfield will succeed Mr. Rex as secretary. Draft Evaders To Be Prosecuted WASHINGTON, April 9 CJ!) The justice department revealed today that it is investigating 10,-600 10,-600 men believed to be draft evaders. , It also is investigating 500 men who have appealed for classification classifica-tion as conscientious objectors.
