Class officers and a long list of committeemen are working on the affair, which after being postponed post-poned from mid-winter due to an .epidemic of flu, promises to be the outstanding social function of the school's spring calendar. Entertains at Gay Party Miss Beth Madsen delightfully entertained a group of friends at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Madsen. A number of novelty games were played, high score prizes, in the form of Easter attractions, going to Bobbie Sato, Janet Clegg and Wayne Gammon. A delicious tray luncheon was served to Car-ma Car-ma Thacker, Janet Clegg, Myrl Stone, Cleo Harding, Paul Lar-sen, Lar-sen, Wayne Gammon, Boyd Harding, Hard-ing, Delbert Mills, Bobbie Sato, Alvin Harding and the hostess. Little Folks At Party Mrs. Eldon Brickey gave a birthday party for her little daughter, Maxine, on her fourth birthday anniversary. Games were played and a delicious de-licious luncheon and a large pink and white birthday cake were served. V BYU Art Guild Entertains for Dixie Art Guild An outstanding event of the week end was sponsored by the B. Y. U. Art Guild members when they entertained members of the Dixie College Art Guild. The two groups became ac quainted when they met at the B. Y. U. studio for their first gathering. The program for the evening consisted of a reading by Geniel Martin, a demonstra tion of photographic lighting by Joseph M. Boel; and an illus trated lecture given by Walter Lewis on his trip to South America. Am-erica. Saturday the two groups enjoyed en-joyed a tour Through the campus and buildings, and were shown many of the paintings in the B. Y. U. art collection. The afternoon after-noon was spent at the Springville art exhibit where Glen Turner conducted the tour. After, a lunch-'eon lunch-'eon was served at the liome of Professor B. F. Larsen. The day was climaxed by the two groups attending the B. Y. U. play, "On Borrowed Time." The committee in charge was Byron Woodland, Elaine Bastian and Eleanor Toomey. The members of the Dixie College Col-lege Art Guild were Norman At-kin, At-kin, Melvin Ogden, Mr. Huntsman. Hunts-man. Mr. McAllister, Genevieve Assy, Jessie Larson, Evelyn Hawkins, Haw-kins, Evelyn Smith, Beulah Smith, Mary Faris, Mary Wade, Edna McAllister, Marion Woodward, Jeanne Christensen, and Jane Pace, who is president of their guild. Members present in the B. Y. U. Art Guild were Professor B. F. Larsen, Mrs. B. F. Larsen, Edgar M. Plans are now being -made to make this an annual affair so art students of different schools may meet together and spend a day or so in the interest of art. La Vadis Girls Are Hostesses An Easter motif was carried out at an invitational party at the home of Mrs. Edwin R. Kimball Kim-ball Tuesday evening, for- the members, alumnae, and guests of the LaVadis social unit of the Brigham Young university. A modern play was given by Mrs. L. L. Cullimore, the first sponsor of the unit, after which get-acquainted games were - enjoyed. en-joyed. Corsages of spring flowers were presented to each one present. pres-ent. Lovely spring flowers were used to decorate the home. The unit shield was illuminated in the room. The double trio of the unit, consisting of Emilie Wilde, Dona Kirkham, Esther Hutchings, Helen Hel-en Wiscombe, Roberta Holt and Gene Croutage, sang the LaVadis Sweetheart song and the unit song.
