HIGH SCHOOL The opera "Tulip Time" is going to be presented by the B. Y. u. high school. The first act is a bright summer morning. The second is the same afternoon of the same day. The opera has a dutch theme and will take place supposedly in Holland. It will be directed by Ferris Edgely and Mary Mc-Grego. Mc-Grego. U. high school home making class has adopted a family for Christmas. They are going to give" a Christmas dinner and presents pres-ents to each member of this family fam-ily who will hot be able to provide pro-vide their own. The girls in this class put a bowl in each room for the students to put sugar in. The grade that puts in the most sugar will get a party. The domestic science girls will use the sugar to make candy which they will sell to make enough money for their project. They will sell the candy to the high school students as well as at the College plays. They also put a bottle in the office of-fice for people to put their pennies pen-nies in. They are making aprons and dresses for the mother of their family and dresses and dolls for the little girls. This will give the home making girls a chance to learn more about sewing and cooking cook-ing and also it will help this poor family. Nola deJong. The German club sponsored a Christmas dance Thursday night in the high school building. A floor show was a feature of the evening. The early part of the evening was for the junior high students, the senior students taking the floor later. State Conference of Social Work To Be Held in Logan , LOG AN Annual meetings of the Utah State conference of social so-cial work will be held in Logan in 1938, according to Dr. Joseph A. Geddes, professor of sociology at the Utah State Agricultural college and a member of the executive exec-utive committee of the conference- The selection of Logan was made at a special meeting of the ecutive committee at the Hotel Utah in Salt Lake Saturday, when the new executive board unanimously unani-mously accepted President E. G. Peterson's invitation to hold the next meetings on the local college campus. The date was not determined. de-termined. The 1938 meetings will be the first to be held in Logan, in six years. PARKER SCHOOL We wrote letters to Santa Claus. We have a beautiful Christmas tree and colored pictures of wise men and Baby Jesus, and Shepherds Shep-herds with their sheep painted on our windows. We made presents for our parenta It is a dead secret. We are going to have a play for our parents. Every child in the room helped to make the scenery or the big picture to dec orate our room. Keith made three beautiful palm trees. We are going to have angels singing in our play. We have made very beautiful scenery across the stage. All of us will have costumes.
