They were married Sept. 27, 1956 in Las Vegas, Nev. They are planning plan-ning to travel to Minnesota and South Dakota to visit children and grandchildren as their Lynn and mmmm Lichts celebrate 50th Anniversary Lynn and Roena Licht of Vernal Ver-nal recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Sept. 17, 1956 in Salt Lake City. A celebration honoring the couple was held with family and close friends. Lynn worked for P.W. Martin Water Service for 35 years. When my daughter Sara was little she liked to sit near and watch, and her favorite favor-ite thing was any kind of bread. She inspired me to create something some-thing just for her, and the following fol-lowing recipe is the result. This recipe is quick, easy and very healthy for the whole family. fami-ly. "Sara's Quick Bread" is great with chili, fried chicken, beans and many other southwestern Sara's Quick Bread Ingredients: 2 cups Wheat Flour 1 cup White Flour 12 cup Sugar 1 tsp. Salt 3 Tbsp. Baking Powder 2 Eggs 14 cup Olive Oil 1 cup Milk 1 cup Water 2 Tbsp. Molasses Directions: Combine all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add wet ingredients. in-gredients. Mix well. Pour into a 9 12" x 12" baking dish and bake in 325 degree oven for 50 minutes to one hour (depending on your oven). Wetenkamp celebration. They have three children, Lori in Plymouth, Minn., Bob and Jay in Aberdeen, S.D. They have 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Lloyd and Lois have resided in Aberdeen, S.D. and Vernal. ill Roena Licht 1995 after 4 years. Roena worked at the District Court in Vernal for 24 years. She retired in 1997. He enjoys keeping his lawn green, and Roena enjoys spending spend-ing time with children and grandchildren. The Lichts have resided in Vernal since their marriage. Chef Dan Philpot has been an executive ex-ecutive chef for 27 years and has had his recipes featured in many nationally known magazines. A former for-mer resident of California and Las Vegas, he now lives in Vernal. Serve bread hot, with butter, or experience its terrific flavor when dunked in a glass of cold buttermilk. Utah State University Uintah County Extension and Duchesne County Extension are offering a Sew Creative and Needle Arts Conference to be held on Oct. 10, at the USU Uintah Basin Campus in Roosevelt, at 987 E. Lagoon Street. The conference will begin at 8:30 Tuesday morning, with a vendor's fair, registration, registra-tion, and check in. Pre-registra-tion for the conference needs to be received at the Extension Office by Oct. 5. However, registration reg-istration will also be taken at the door. At the conference participants will learn new skills and gain ideas to share with others. The Extension is pleased to announce that Rita Larson who has been a presenter at conferences in the past will act as this year's keynote speaker, and will address the topic of Gift Ideas. Rita comes with a long history of sharing ideas not only for creating gifts but also for teaching the tools needed in the process. She will show things that can be made for the holidays as well as items listeners might want to put on their own Christmas lists this year. Rita Larson is a graduate of Colorado State University and has been teaching clothing cloth-ing construction, pattern-fitting, pattern-fitting, and quilt-making at Hi-Fashion Fabrics in Grand Junction, Colo, for 28 years. She has attended many quilt and fabric markets, allowing her to take advantage of classes class-es from internationally known teachers. She always loves to share the knowledge she has gathered. Following the keynote address participants will be able to attend five concurrent concur-rent workshop sessions with a variety of topics offered which will pique the interest of any individual who enjoys sewing sew-ing and needle arts. Workshop presenters are professionals, store teachers, authors, and enthusiasts who are both local and from around the state and Colorado.
