PUBLIC NOTICE QEP RED WASH class nn LANDFILL Questar Exploration and Production (QEP) has submitted a permit renewal application to the Executive Secretary of the Utah Solid and Hazardous Waste Control Board to renew Permit 9906R1 to operate a Class Illb landfill. This landfill, called the QEP Red Wash Landfill, will be permitted to dispose of nonhazardous wastes associated with oil and gas production operations, opera-tions, office wastes, shipping ship-ping waste, and incidental inciden-tal wastes generated by meals. The landfill is located a approximately 20 miles southeast of Vernal, Utah on Deadman Bench. The Utah Solid and Hazardous Waste Control Board grants operating permits for five years. The permit renewal renew-al application and subsequent subse-quent response to requests for additional information have been reviewed and found to be complete and a draft permit has been prepared. The Utah Solid and Hazardous Waste Act requires a 30-day public pub-lic comment period to receive comments on this permit renewal application and DRAFT PERMIT 9906R1 before final action is taken by the Executive Secretary of the Utah Solid and Hazardous Waste Control Board. The public comment com-ment period will commence com-mence on September 20, 2006 when this notice is published in the Deseret Morning News, the Salt Lake Tribune, and the Vernal Express. The comment period will run for 30 days and end on October 20, 2006.
