Show PV Wednesday, JumK 2006 .Vernal Express. Creature feature Hi-ii Tom McCormak, "storyfella," "storyfel-la," keeps bringing animated stories to life with dramatic realism. Since 1988 he has traveled trav-eled internationally storytelling storytell-ing from festivals to performing perform-ing art centers. In 1966 he was given a parent's choice award for his children's recording "Tales From Western Tribes." In 2002, McCormack released a CO titled "Legends From Western Tribes; Re-Visited." His new sci-fi book "The Star Peace Children' awaits the go-ahead from the publishing industry. "Storyfella" Tom McCormack performs "Tails, Scales, Paws, and Claws" at nks comes to Vernal the Uintah County Library on June 13 and 14. The first children's chil-dren's program is on June 13 at 1 p.m. Other events on the 13th include a second program at 3:30 p.m., and the young adult international rites of passage performance at 7 p.m. On June 14th the first children's show starts at 1 p.m. and the second at 3 p.m. A family storytelling workshop (open to the public) begins at 7 pjn. McCormack's theatrical performance brings colorful dialoguing characters to life with natural sound effects. The scales weigh in as he plays fish music (flute of course!) Then the kids join in singing Claws- to-Paws barking along. Some of his animal stories are a menagerie of mis-adventures. The children will enjoy "The Root Kids." Their down under tactics dazzle the imagination. imagina-tion. The "storyfella" brings audiences to their feet getting cramps in their dimples. Do not miss the astounding antics. Gabe is a member of Scout Troop 232. His Leaders are Leslie Nye and Janett Hodgkinson. Mason Smith Smith receives Arrow of Light Mason Smith, son of Gary and Laurie Smith, received his Arrow of Light award on May 20, 2006. He earned all 20 pins in the Webelos program. She is currently living in Riverton, Utah and will be teaching first grade at Midway Elementary in Midway, Utah starting this fall. Monica is the daughter of Craig and Melanie Monsen of Vernal and the granddaughter granddaugh-ter of Dolores Monsen, also of Vernal. Polaris 4X4 ATV to be given away. Rodeo to give away ATV On July 15, during the final performance of the Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo, someone will be the lucky winner of a 2006 Polaris 4X4 ATV. Every year, Meadow Gold Dairy sponsors this prize in conjunction with Randy Beers and the Vernal Sports Center. They have both been consistent sponsors of the rodeo for many year.
