Q Home and Garden Show visitors enjoyed learning about a variety of activities Friday and Saturday. Spring Home and Garden Show The annual Spring Home and Garden Show was held last Friday and Saturday at Vernal's Western Park. The event was filled with information informa-tion on a variety of interests to the home owner and gardener. From windows and flooring to lawn mowers and tractors there was plenty to discover. SpMnQ has Sprung Importance of pediatric care The signs of spring have been popping up all around the Basin over the last week. The nice sunny days with spring temperatures have brought not only the tulips and daffodils out of the ground but the grasses are finally turning green as well. After the long winter with high precipitation, the summer months are sure to provide residents res-idents with a flowering town. There is a well side and a sick side which have separate entrances, waiting rooms and play areas. The entrance for the well check is located on the East side of the building off 100 West. The sick side entrance is off the main corridor. The design of the office is aimed to help keep children as healthy as possible. The Western Heritage Museum is hosting the first annual invitational invi-tational Brass, Glass, Wood and Paper Casting showcase. The show is featuring many artists from around the Basin area with emphasis in different differ-ent types of craftsmanship. Wood carvings of old west feel are featured in the show along with brass and metal art, hand cast paper, wood turnings and pottery. Carvings by Ken Morton of Roosevelt, fretwork by Gene Bigelow, wood crafts by Walter and Carl Swain and forged and welded metal by Bill Bauer are all included among the many pieces of Basin artwork. Other artists in the show are Randy Fullbright, Charles Crow, Kenneth B. Morton, Dellis Morrill, Ann and Derrick Crow, Troy Burton, Lamond Harrison, Everett Paulson, ArLlyn Roberts and J.L. Vernal's MS Walk held Saturday Last Saturday the Vernal area MS Walk was held at the Freestone Walking Park. Many participants were in attendance atten-dance with some saying there was more of a turnout this year than in past years.
