Elsa Enriquez Anchondo Elsa Enriquez Anchondo passed away March 3 at her home surrounded by her family, fam-ily, after a long battle with cancer, can-cer, kidney problems and diabetes. diabe-tes. She was the loving wife of Roberto Anchondo. They were married May 11, 1977. Vernal has been Elsa's home for twenty years. She was an important member of the Jehovah Witness Church. She enjoyed working with her. church members and spending time with them. Elsa enjoyed dancing, cooking and being with her family. She will be remembered for being a loving and compassionate mother. She is survived by her husband, hus-band, Roberto Anchondo; her children, Roberto Anchondo Jr., Carlos (Katy) Anchondo and granddaughter, Dalaynee, along with her siblings; Isidro Enriquez, Jorge Enriques, Antonia Enriques, Federico Enriquez, Sandra Enriquez, Trini Enriquez, Yolanda Enriquez, Alicia Enriquez, Rita Enriquez, and Manuela Enriquez. She was preceded in death by parents, Andres and Amalia Peregrino Enriquez. Graveside services were Elsa Enriquez Anchondo held Saturday, March 5 at 1 p.m. at Vernal Memorial Park. A viewing was held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Thomson-Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. "God saw she was getting tired and a cure was not to be. Pederson, "Grandpa Pete" left this life to be with his Lord on March 6 in Vernal. Pete was born Oct 17, 1914 in Van Hook, N.D. to Peder and Clara Pederson. He was reborn through the Sacrament of Baptism on Nov. 8, 1914. Pete confirmed his faith in Christ as his Lord and Savior at his Confirmation on July 9, 1929 at the Lutheran Church in Van Hook,N.D. Pete married Jessie Kleinsmith on June 12, 1937 in Cut Bank, Mont. They are the parents of four children, Barbara (Denis) Bilbey of Vernal; Pastor Ronald (Barbara) Pederson of Haven, Wis.; Gayle (Frank) Andrejack of Glendale, Ariz.; and Kathleen (Laine) Burrows of Vernal. They have twelve grandchildren, 17 greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Pete is survived by his wife of 67 years, his children and two sisters, Eva Ellis of Billings, Mont, and Edna McKillip of Montery, Calif. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, five sisters and two grandchildren.
