Nielson of Fort Duchesne, recently made a visit to the port of Jebel Ali, Duabai during a routine, scheduled deployment while assigned to the aircraft carrier USS George Washington, homeported in Norfolk. Va. While in Dubai, members of Nielson's unit enjoyed shopping, shop-ping, golfing, sandboarding and sightseeing. The service members also participated in a sunset safari, went on camel rides and sampled gourmet foods. Nielson is one of more than 7,600 sailors and Marines aboard the ships of the USS George Washington Carrier Strike Group who deployed to carry out America's ongoing ongo-ing operations in the war on terrorism.
