Show Fall 2000 Discover Dinosauriand 9 Historical tour is self-guided A one-day self-guided tour is available for those who enjoy walking or a short driving tour. Completed in only a couple of hours, the Vernal Walking Tour is informative, and historical. Because the tour begins at the Utah Field House of Natural History, Dinosaur Gardens, and the Northeastern Utah Visitors Center located at 235 E. Main, it provides the opportunity to learn about over a billion years of geology, 500 million mil-lion years of fossil records, Indian history, dinosaurs, and more. The next stop, the Vernal City Park, located behind the museum, provides a place to relax, picnic or play in the shade. Next, the Uintah County Library and Regional History Center are informative on the history of Northeastern Utah, and the First Ladies of the While House Doll Collection is a display of all the first ladies. The dolls were designed by Phyllis Park from Murray and costumed by women of Uintah County. The Wilcox Academy, 65 E. 100 N is the site of an early 1900s missionary school for children from various religious faiths. The Bank of Vernal, Zions Bank, at 3 W.
