T ' AV V & Benjamin Hacking and Mary Hansen Hansen and Hacking to wed in LDS Temple Mary Beth Hansen and Benjamin Douglas Hacking have chosen to be married in the Vernal Temple on August 5. The bride is the daughter of J. Dean and Uela Hansen of Vernal. She is a 1999 graduate of Uintah High School and is attending Utah State University and is currently employed at Heads 'n' Tails. The groom is the son of Doug and AJee Hacking of Sidney, Mont., formerly of Vernal. He graduated from Uintah High School in 1997 and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in San Jose, Costa Rica. Hacking currently works and attends Weber State University. A reception will be held in their honor at the Dallas Merrell residence resi-dence at 2563 E. 2500 S., August 5 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The couple plans to make their home in Springville, while attending attend-ing school at Utah Valley State College. Golden Age News Senior Center will welcome volunteers Volunteers receive great rewards, just ask Rebecca Meacham who delivers meals as a volunteer while in Vernal temporarily w ith her husband hus-band who is on assignment for a month. Meacham is familiar with the program because she has volunteered volun-teered in Hurricane where she also delivers meals to the homebound elderly. She has been greatly appreciated appre-ciated during the busiest month at the center as the regular drivers are having a few days vacation. There are many volunteer opportunities oppor-tunities available through the senior citizens program: take someone shopping, to the doctor, health insurance counseling, serving meals in the senior center, clerical work and deliver meals. The Golden Age Center is pleased to have Susan Nestler. R.N. aboard to assist them with case management manage-ment responsibilities, the Aging Waiver and the Home and Community Based Alternatives program. pro-gram. She will be assigned a case load that involves providing home health services for people who require assistance in their home. A Blood Pressure clinic will be held at the center on August 7 and 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. A picnic w ill be held August 10 at Harpers Corner and Blue Mountain. The bus will leave the center at 9 a.m. On August 24 another picnic will be held at Indian Canyon and the bus will leave the center at 10 a.m. The suggested donation is $3.
