A stage is expected to anchor the plaza, where the supporters envision big concerts during events like the Sundance Film Festival and smaller gatherings that mostly draw Parkites. They say Main Street now is not configured well for concerts because part of the street, usually the stretch north of Hebcr Avenue, is closed to traffic for staged performances. Other details about the plaza will be decided as City Hall approaches regular Parkites for their ideas. At the earliest, Butz says, those will be sought at the end of the summer. "Part of it is we have quite a few things we're moving on," Butz says about the revised timeline. The local government, meanwhile, is readying plans to construct what officials are calling 'shell space,' a building that would be put up at the northern end of the China Bridge garage. The two-story building, Butz says, would hold 4,500 square feet of space. She says City Hall is consider- ing tenant options for the building, including whether the space should be rented to private-sector retailers or used as office space. Butz says tenant negotiations have started but she declines to discuss details. Butz refuses to discuss whether post-office staffers are involved or if state liquor officials are interested. The Swede Alley location, however, would keep a postal presence in the Old Town core if some sort of deal were struck for the Main Street facility to clear part of that land for a Main Street-town plaza connection. It would also offer state liquor officials a spot close to Main Street for a store once the current Main Street outlet is shuttered, which is planned. Butz expects to talk to Mayor Dana Williams and the Park City Council on April 19 about the shell space. She wants to appear before the city's Planning Commission with the proposal at the end of April. Her timeline envisions a groundbreaking on the shell space in June, with a midwinter completion. 3O21 W CANYON LINKS DRIVE #32 • 3 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms • Approximately 2700 sq ft • 300 sq ft bonus/flex room • Additional heated laundry • Third fireplace • Central vacuum • Stereo system throughout • Remote pad garage door opener • Granite countertops • Upgraded cabinet package • Hardwood floors - Stainless steel appliances. $622,900 773O N PROMONTORY RANCH ROAD This amazing Aspen Camp home site offers picturesque views of both the Utnta Mountain Range and all three of Park City's world class ski resorts.
