Show Silver Beavers awarded Winter survival is a favorite scout activity for White, a veteran with over 25 years of service to scouting. He has taught merit badge classes, helped develop training for adults and helped develop the scoutmaster rendezvous training course. Winter has earned his woodbadge award and served on the woodbadge staff. He has worked work-ed in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation rehabilita-tion program for youth. KAYSVTLLE Among the 27 scout leaders selected from the Lake Bonneville Council of the Boy Scouts America to receive the Silver Beaver Award were four scouters from Kaysville. This honor is the highest given to adult scouters in recognition of many years of service to youth through the scouting program. It is presented annually a the council recognition program. The Kaysville people to receive this award include Robert Bowman, Sylvia Rosser, L. Dwight Pincock, and Harold L. White. Bowman has been an adult scouter for over 25 years. He is the advancement chairman for the Francis Peak District and is responsible respon-sible for reviewing hundreds of applications ap-plications for Eagle Scout Awards. A merit badge counselor for twelve yers, Rosser has participated par-ticipated as an adult scouting leader in three different councils. She has been a den leader and a Blazer Scout leader for 18 years. 89 percent per-cent of her Blazer Scouts have left the program with a Star rank. Pincock is administrative vice president for the Lake Bonneville Council He has been a scout leader for more than 20 years and has produced pro-duced a 30 minute Eagle Scout video. Varsity games on the council level is one of his favorite projects. |
