A landscape firm has been retained and a plans are being I laid for the school grounds, Dean Penrod, assistant superintendent of Davis County Schools, said at last week's I Layton City Council meeting. I Trees will be interspersed in the asphalt parking area to I soften the effect and landscaping will be finished when the I school is ready to open, Penrod said. I With 30 percent more parking area being added, it will I allow for overflow parking at sports and extracurricular j events without people having to park on Hill Field Road. I The parking lot will also have an area for driver's training practice. Containing 1,500 seats and better acoustics to withstand the proximity of Hill Air Force Base, the auditorium will be an excellent facility for high school productions and some Layton arts uses. "We want the school to be an asset to the community, Penrod said. |
