Show Davis outlasts determined Falcons in defensive duel quarter bringing the score to a 12-0 total. The Darts took a chance and attempted at-tempted a two-point conversion but failed on an incomplete pass from quarterback Todd Heath to wide- receiver Jeremy Law son. Clearfield rallied its forces and put together a successful drive in the third quarter to pull within five points. Neither team found pay dirt in the final stanza and Davis held on to the lead to take the win. The Darts will face their struggling struggl-ing Region One rival Vikings next week at Viewmont. Thursday night the Davis Darts met the enemy and still emerged with a victory, The enemy came in the form of four give-aways against Clearfield at Dart Field but Davis came away with a 12-7 victory that left the Darts undefeated in Region One at 4-0. Their overall record improves to 6-1. Clearfield suffered its second region loss. The Falcons entered the contest just a game off the region pace being be-ing set by the Darts and were hoping hop-ing to tie things up. Know for their defense, a Clearfield victory looked like a real possibility especially in light of the number of turnovers that Davis gave up. "I think Clearfield is as good as we have seen defensively,' said a relieved Dart head coach Jim Dickson following the game. "We feel pretty lucky offensively, we're lucky they didn't capitalize on our turnovers The Darts opened scoring by capping a long drive with a 12-yard pass from quarterback Todd Heath to receiver Jeremy Law son in the second quarter just before the end of the half. The teams had traded punts and turnovers for nearly two full quarters before the Davis strike. Clearfield blocked the extra point so the half ended with the Darts up 6-0.
