Show NEWS BRIEFS Weekend edition coming The new weekend edition of the Davis County Clipper will debut one week later than previously announced. The first publication will be launched September 22. "We've had tremendous response to our announcement of the weekend edition, and we apologize for this delay,' said Clipper publisher Gail Stahle. "Dozens of readers have called to applaud our decision to publish twice weekly. We're excited ex-cited about the the new edition and look forward to our first issue," he said. The Saturday morning publication, which will be delivered by carrier car-rier to all Clipper subscribers, will include up to the minute reports on all Friday night high school sports events. In addition, the weekend week-end paper will include reports on local news events and feature stories about Davis County people and happenings. A special "Just for Kids' section should challenge the school-age readers. With two weekly deadlines missionaries, brides and classified customers who have overlooked the mid-week newspaper deadline will still have an opportunity to place their information in the weekend week-end edition. The entire staff is looking forward to expanding the news and sports coverage for all Clipper readers. j Homemakers School to begin prizes, fun and food featured L 4 You've been reading about it You've heard talk of it in the streets. It's on the lips of the entire community, and on Sept 13 at 5:50 p.m. the doors will open at the Woods Cross High school and kick off the 1990 Homemakers School. The entire community is invited to attend and take part in the fun, food and prizes. The first 1 ,000 guests will receive a gift bag filled with cookbooks, certificates and helpful coupons from national sponsors. spon-sors. The event is being sponsored by the Davis Counry Clipper Food 4 Less and Lakewood Furniture. The Homemakers School will feature classes and demonstrations on subjects from interior design to microwave cooking. There will be fashion shows and loads of fun for everyone.
